Ticket insufficient for entry to around island boat tour. - Firstly, great ferry trip and beautiful small boat tour of caves and island coast, in Italian. Negative aspect faced by us and another couple who booked through trip advisor, when we tried to board for around islands tour, the ticket from Trip Advisor does not state that entry for around the islands boat tour is included. So we were told we only had ticket for ferry trip to/from mainland. The operator of around island tour said they did not have agreement with Trip Advisor so was understandably unwilling to permit us on the around the islands boat tour. The operator kindly let us on the tour but I fear the ferry operator and boat tour group were not coordinated.

Absolutely avoid - Big tourist scam. We're leaving on a crowded ferry. Arrived in San Domino after nearly 2 hours of sailing we were packed into small boats to visit the archipelago. Nothing terrible compared to the whole Gargano coast. 10 min swim offshore to see the statue then stop in St Nicola for those who wanted or return to San Domino. We chose the return to go to dinner, very expensive. We ate in a restaurant well side. We ate very well but value Award sorry. The Award of a great restaurant for a spaghetti! After the restaurant, we waited more than an hour on the harbor, crammed like animals waiting for the ferry in searing heat. And all for 240€ to 4 not counting the meal. In short stay in Vieste, it is much more beautiful and more affordable.

Very bad experience. Very little information known. - On the islands very nice views. But the information from Tripadvisor is incorrect. According to Tripadvisor, the order of the trips is as follows: arrival in San Nicola but it was in San Domino. There you found nowhere a sign or info bureau with the info of when your next boat would be to the other island. You have to find everything yourself. Also nowhere to find info when you can take the last boat with the tour around the islands. Apparently this was at 2pm from San Nicola Island. So we missed it because in Tripadvisor it was last in line. We are completely dissatisfied with how this trip has been arranged. I recommend everyone to book locally and no longer with Tripadvisor.

Experience not to be repeated - We decide to dedicate a day to visit the Tremiti Islands. The ferry trip (the only one that connects to the islands) takes two hours departing from Vieste in the morning at 8:45 and departing from San Domino at 16:45. The ferry is full of people, no air conditioning indoors and outdoors only places under the scorching sun. Upon our arrival there are taxi boats for the tour of the other two islands San Nicola and Capraia. These boats have wooden seats with indecent transport conditions. You are all crowded with very little space, the ride is hasty with a single stop for the bathroom of about 10 minutes. In the complex stressful day, it is definitely not worth it. Cost of the tour: 65 euros per person.

Boat ride from 25 euros per person experience not to be repeated - The tour from 25 euros per boat tour of the Tremiti islands is highly discouraged. Boats at the limit of safety standards and especially with hot wooden seats. . The ride is hasty and devoid of any decent illustration of what you see. It is allowed a single bath of only 10 minutes in Capraia in a body of water where simultaneously on average at least five other boats discharge the same load. Experience not to be repeated.
