Pesto and Gnocchi Class - What an adventurous afternoon. Barbara and her husband were a lot of fun and really enjoy what they do. We learned a lot and got to have some great food, wine, and company. The climb up to their house was thrilling and gave us a good appetite. I highly recommend this class.

10/10 experience with an absolutely charming host! - Absolutely amazing experience in Barbara and Stefano’s incredible home. Barbara is passionate about sharing her love of cooking, friendly, funny, and extremely accommodating. We had an excellent time during our pesto and Gnocci class during our couples trip and wouldn’t hesitate for a second to book another class with Barbara when we are back next.

Fantastic cooking experience! - Fantastic cooking experience in an amazing home in the mountains of Riomaggiore. Be aware however that traveling to this home includes a very Challenging walk downhill on a rocky path from the main road. All good if you’re reasonably fit but not recommended if hills or rocky terrain bothers you.

Truly authentic full course class and family meal - What a wonderful experience! We attended as a family, our kids are 14 & 16. Barbara was an excellent teacher and included everyone on the class. Her and her husband also shared several other family recipes and Italian secret cooking techniques. I’m so happy we didn’t do the large group touristy class, we saw those lines the next day and they were so long. This was perfect and we all enjoyed a home cooked meal together at the table.

Delicious, Beautiful, Insightful Evening Creating & Indulging in the Local Specialties - Barbara was the most welcoming host to her beautiful garden and home, perched atop the hills above Riomaggiore. Her and her husband guided us through each step of the pesto, gnocchi, bruschetta, and tiramisu recipes- including sharing technique and ingredient insights passed down from her grandmother. They were patient, funny, friendly, and so hospitable. We thoroughly enjoyed the full experience! Be sure to wear comfortable shoes for you’ll be standing a lot, and have a bit of a trek (with quite the view) to get down to their home from the drop off point on the road. It’s so worth it!

Lovely class way above Riamaggore - What a privilege to visit Barbara and her husband Stefano in their kitchen in the hills above Riamaggore! The setting was spectacular. It was just myself and my adult daughter this time, and we definitely enjoyed the class and are glad that we did it. We learned to make pesto from scratch and enjoyed bruschetta and beverages before moving on to gnocchi . The whole time we were treated to lots of information about living in Cinque Terra. Honestly I think I will probably purchase these items at home instead of making them in the future but it was fun to do once. Barbara's home is WAY above the town - Google Maps said it was a 30 minute walk from the train station, but i think more because of the climb on the step paths. I am thankful i was able to Whatsapp Barbara ahead of time so she helped us arrange a taxi from the station, otherwise we would have been not as happy and would have had difficulty finding the location. We had no trouble hiking back down! A lovely few hours I will remember!

Cooking class in cinque Terre - Barbara and Stephano were excellent together , getting there and back takes 30 minutes and need to walk on side of curvy road . No problem for young people per se . Friendly environment, educational cooking , dog friendly place . Stunning views . Exposed to elements so watch weather and dress / bring umbrellas if indicated

Best Italian cooking experience ever - This was the most incredible experience of our entire trip, and quite possibly the best experience we’ve ever had while traveling in Italy. Our hosts were the most incredible couple who allowed us a glimpse of their lifestyle while teaching us the secrets of their family recipes. The place is hard to find which is part of its charm. Make sure to follow Barbara’s directions exactly. Once you are there, you will not regret it. Not for children.

Left on a Steep Cliffside with No Response - To make sure we were in the right place, a local taxi dropped us off at the meeting place. It was a fork in an active road on a Cliffside with a rocky path. We waited but no one showed up. We sent texts through the app, but no one replied. We started to descend the path thinking we were supposed to go that way to find out guide. We didn't get very far bc the hiking trail was very steep. No one ever showed...so we turned around. They rejected our refund request. I do NOT recommend Cesarine.
