Great spot! - Good food and a fabulous location! The trip to the top of the mountain is an experience on its own…but the view and the tasting makes it all worthwhile

Italy as it used to be - The island of Elba in Italy is very much left as it was in de 1960, with lots of beautiful bays and beaches, small family style hotels, gorgeous nature, good hiking, small roads and mostly Italians and German tourists.

We've been forgotten... - The ascent to the farm in over 30 degrees in the shade made us feel the joy of the expected lunch on the farm. Once there, we were disappointed when the only people we encountered were a group of campers. Surprised, we called the posted phone number, where we were assured that someone would be coming soon. After five minutes, a lady came on the scene who did not know that the farm tour was also offered in the afternoon - after all, it was too hot ... We were offered to come back in the evening, but then rain set in... We fervently ask the operators to check the times for this offer so that we remain the only ones to do the ascent on foot for free, because we recommend access by car only to well-sprung four-wheel drive vehicles - but for which there is then enough parking.

BAD EXPERIENCE. WE FOUND THE FARM CLOSED WITHOUT NOTICE - I can't even value it because when we arrived at the farm it was closed, there was no one to even give us an explanation. I had to call the tour operator to give me an explanation. My reservation was active on Tripadvisor, no one had notified me of anything. I had to claim a refund of the amount of the experience. Terrible service from all those responsible, the farm, the tour operator and tripadvisor.
