Amazing experience! - Absolutely incredible service! Myself and my aunt both came along and they were incredibly accommodating for all of our needs. If you want an amazing vineyard experience, this is the place to be!

A Delightful Experience - We combined a wine tasting with a picnic at Saio vineyards. It is outside the main walls of Assisi, but you can drive, walk, or bike there. We walked from our hotel in Assisi. Our hostess was very welcoming and knowledgeable. The wines were excellent, and there was only one other couple there for a tasting.
Following the tasting, we received a map of the vineyards showing where each variety of grape was grown. We were able to walk through the vineyards up to a veranda overlooking Assisi. Our hostess brought us a delightful lunch with an extensive charcuterie board, bruschetta with olive oil, and the wine of our choice. It was a delightful experience. We were never rushed for time and were able to enjoy the vineyard. This is a side trip I would definitely recommend. It was a very good value and one of our best memories of our trip to Italy.

Excellent wine tour - We enjoyed learning about the winery and thought our host was very friendly and informative. We liked the SAIO wine and bought a case to send home. They took care of everything. The best part was walking through the gorgeous vineyard and then our yummy picnic in the most beautiful setting.

Amazing - Absolutely amazing time!! We tasted all the wines with food served with each wine!! The wine and food was amazing! We ordered a case and half to ship home and received it in a timely manner! Also got olive oil and jam that they make! Highly recommend!

Valuable tasting experience - The vineyards are well kept and located under beautiful Assisi. The wines of the five tastings and their oil were good, with a sustained acidity that characterizes its delicacy. Modern and simple environment, perhaps a little too much, which makes it a little cold. Pleasant welcome, pleasant kindness.

A vineyard stroll - This wine tour was amazing. We walked the vineyards on our own. Very picturesque. Once back at the tour site we enjoyed 5 excellent wines complimented with delicious breads, cheeses, meats and dessert. Highly recommend this wine tour.

SAIO Winery - SAIO winery has much to offer. There is nothing like walking through the vineyard and tasting the grapes used for their extraordinary wine. The picnic was more than we could eat. Beautiful views, nice people to share in the adventure.

Great wine and hosts, but a somewhat compromised experience. - This was our second Saio tasting-lunch. We love the hosts and one of the Saio reds is an all-time favorite. I will say that we did not love sharing this year's experience with a very loud group of 23 people who talked over the English version of the wine descriptions after enjoying their native Italian version. We paid close to $100 for the tasting and lunch through Viator, which had been described as including a bottle of our favorite wine to have with a picnic that followed a tasting. Instead, to accommodate the large group, we had the tasting with lunch and did not receive the included bottle of our favorite. I would not have paid the premium through Viator had I known it would be changed in this way or that it would include that many additional people. The same experience can be purchased through the Saio website for less than half the price. We did that last year and got a better experience and a lot more value for the cost.
