Best Pasta and Tiramisu class - Wonderful session cooking pasta and tiramisu. Three different pasta dishes were made with ease. Simple easy guidance by Alina who is helpful and encourages everyone to participate. It was a great class and even more fun eating what we had made with fellow travellers. Recipes are sent to you via email so you can recreate 😁 Alina also chats about olive oil and their process in harvesting/bottling. Very interesting and informative.

Perfect Presentation - Ciara, was such a great representative of this great heritage. Her knowledge of the vineyard, the family history, the Chianti tradition, the process and the flavor recognition. We purchased three (2)wines and their wonderful olive oil. Can’t wait to arrive back to Paris and drink Super Tuscan and Reserve🍷

Truly an Umbrian Country Experience - I am the owner of Village Vacations in Italy and I brought my clients to Slow Cooking School for a cooking class and olive oil tasting. What an incrediable day we had. They made 3 different sauces, pasta, ravioli, lasagna, Gnocchi and a rasberry tiramisu. Ailina's cooking class is truly an Umbrian country experience.

Wonderful morning cooking with Alina - I attended Alina's cooking course this morning at her Il Fontanara kitchen in Paciano. What a delightful and informative morning. Alina is vivacious and engaging, and her assistant was also eager to please and guide. I appreciated that it was a hands-on lesson rather than a demonstration. We rolled out three different shapes of pasta, which were cooked and added to three different delicious sauces. We enjoyed lunch as a a group under the vines, accompanied by her easy to drink red wine and lemoncello. Perhaps less intimidating to make was the tasty tiramisu, and ingredients will be easy to source from home. I might have to attempt the home made pasta at home as I'll probably never enjoy it as much out of a packet again! At the end of the lesson we could purchase her olive oil and other accessories, including a great t-shirt. I was also fascinated by her explanation of the production of olive oil, and the importance of checking that the bottle says harvested and bottled at the same origin. All in all one of my best mornings in Umbria so far. Thank you Alina.

Delightful cooking class in Italy - This was such an incredible experience. The host was so welcoming and her property is delightful. We got to pick cherry tomatoes for the meal and made 3 different kinds of pasta for our meal. Wow! That isn’t as easy as it looks ha. I learned so much in just a few short hours. The olive oil they produce is my new favorite. I think we will be having more shipped ha. This was a five star experience hands down.

Five star Pasta with Alina - What a really wonderful, authentic cooking experience with Alina. Her passion for food and zest for life shines through her beautiful smile. She shared her recipes freely. I really enjoyed the very hands on practical approach. One of the best cooking classes that I have taken part in.

One of our favorites - This was one of our favorite experiences! The farm and views are spectacular. We were early so able to help a bit with picking tomatoes and herbs. It’s a family, justifiably proud of their business and passion. Active cooking lesson with hand rolled pastas and a berry tiramisu!! Everything was delicious!! It’s not difficult to find if you follow GPs and when you think you missed it because you’re in the middle of nowhere, you haven’t. The dirt road is immediately left of the hay farm. Do it!!

Highly recommend! - Great time making pasta and then eating a delicious lunch in a beautiful setting! Alina was a wonderful teacher and made traditional Italian food come to life, enhanced by growing much of what we used in her garden. We also got to see where they press and bottle the olive oil. It was a fun experience and a great way for our hen's party to start the day.

A wonderful cooking class experience - My adult granddaughter and I took the cooking class with Alina at Il Fontanaro and loved every aspect of it. We have made pasta before but the ingredients used in this lesson were superior, making for some of the best pasta ever. We enjoyed 3 types of pasta with 3 different sauces and all were delicious. The recipes are provided and we will definitely make them at home soon. The instructions were clear and it was a joy to participate. It was a large group with young children too and everyone was able to follow directions, even the youngest child. The setting for lunch is exquisite. Lovely al fresco dinning, plentiful food, wine and dessert. We even took extras with us. First class all the way. We took a tour of the olive oil mill. Their olive oil is Devine. The entire estate is lovely and Alina and staff are all so kind. Take the class and better yet stay at Il Fontanaro too.
