Panicale - After getting our Vespas we’ll ride to Panicale.
Panicale is an ancient medieval town. It boasts stunning views of Lake Trasimeno and is approximately 35 km from Perugia. At the heart of its historical center, within Piazza Umberto I, stands a travertine fountain dating back to 1473, once the ancient cistern that extended beneath the square. We will walk around to see its notable sites worth visiting like the Collegiate Church of San Michele Arcangelo, the Castle of Montalera, and the Anita Belleschi Grifoni Museum of the Tulle. -
Citta della Pieve - After Panicale we will proceed to Città della Pieve, a medieval gem situated on a hill overlooking Lago Trasimeno and the Chiana Valley. Its medieval structure, constructed from high-quality local brick dating back to the Middle Ages, is a testament to its historical significance. The town has a rebellious spirit, being a border town between the Papal States and the Grand Duchy of Tuscany. Its strategic position allowed it to challenge powerful enemies like Orvieto and Perugia, and its urban layout reflects this history, with wide streets for knights and narrow alleyways for peasants. We will stroll around its landmarks including Palazzo della Corgna and Rocca Perugina, showcasing the city’s blend of papal power and local resilience. And we will stop for lunch.

The old town center, enclosed within medieval walls, boasts breathtaking views of Lake Trasimeno and Valdichiana towards Cortona. We will grab an ice cream and visit the two notable architectural gems, Palazzo della Corgna and Rocca del Leone, stand as testaments to the village’s rich history and origins. -
Passignano Sul Trasimeno - We’ll grab a quick coffee together and take in the lake view. Afterward, we’ll visit the Rocca and then head over to San Feliciano to drop off the Vespas.
