Highlights
  • Winery San Giorgio a Lapi - The Church of San Giorgino is a small ecclesiastical building from 1109 which stands on the estate’s land and which, with its dominant position, seems to observe and protect the expanses of vineyards and olive trees on the gentle Tuscan slopes. When our family arrived in San Giorgio a Lapi, the church had suffered major structural damage. This is how our parents decide to recover and completely restore the building, which in return has returned the discovery of a fresh painting by the Nasini, a family of painters from Amiata, which represents St. George killing the dragon.

Wonderful experience - Wonderful experience, a walk through the wine process followed by wine tasting with lunch (more than just the cold cuts described on the web site). All of the staff / family were very welcoming and of course the wine was amazing.

Enjoyable and informative family run vineyard - We arrived by Taxi from Siena and had a Wonderful time. Our guide Benedetto was informative and friendly, his knowledge of the vineyard made learning good. He answered all our questions. We then tasted the wines which were paired with local food. We bought some wine and olive oil (1 bottle of each as we are flying back home). Currently if you drive there and take away wine with you the family are giving you a discount of 15% off if you by 6 bottles or more.

Don't miss this experience - This was one of the best vineyard tours my wife and I have been on. Geremia is an outstanding host and guide. We got up close and personal with the olive trees and grape vines as he explained how they are prepared in the spring to optimize the yield. We learnt about how/when they harvest the grapes, how they check them for sweetness and how they maintain the fields and plants. We saw how the whole production process works and the history of the vineyard. Then we sat down and had the tasting accompanied by a wonderful lunch overlooking the beautiful countryside. The wines are excellent and very reasonably priced. Don't miss this tour if you are in the area of Siena. A GPS or Google is a must.

100% recommended - The tour of the winery and the subsequent tasting were a wonderful experience. The host gave us a super warm welcome. It took time for our questions and you got great insights into the family history of the winery during the tour. For the wine tasting, lovingly prepared homemade dishes were served, which were matched to the respective wines. Tuscan wine speaks for itself, of course!

Only recommended!!! - We are incredibly enthusiastic and did not expect such a great family atmosphere and such an extensive tour of the farm. The variety of wines and brunch were also truly exceptional. And all for just €48 per person. We would do it again every time!

Fantastic!! - Fantastic!! Benedicto was a wonderful guide through the beautiful family-owned vineyard. He was knowledgeable about the land, the history, the wines. The winery is gorgeous with little surprises like the little chapel. The food was really delicious and paired well with the wines. So far the best tour we've done here!!
