- Contrada Colamaio, 1 - Join us for an evening walk with alpacas from 19:00 to 20:00 at the renowned Costa Degli Dei in Pizzo VV. You’ll learn to communicate with your alpaca, take selfies, and enjoy photo shoots and small videos. The scenic coastline of Pizzo, with views of the Stromboli Volcano on clear days, serves as a stunning backdrop. Watch the alpacas cool off in the sea. Please wear appropriate footwear for the beach and possibly the water. This experience is open to anyone capable of walking along the beach, but handling an alpaca is required, so it’s not recommended for those with a fear of alpacas. Accessible walks can be arranged with prior booking.

Calabrian Alpacas boasts the only alpacas in Calabria. Our alpacas are nurtured on a small farm where they are well-socialized and accustomed to human interaction. As a result, they are curious and gentle with children. Our walks take place against the stunning backdrop of a mature pine forest that opens up to the beach at Colomaio 1, with the picturesque town of Pizzo in the background. The mountainous scenery is especially breathtaking at sunset. During the walk, you’ll bond with an alpaca, capturing interactive videos and selfies on the beach to cherish this experience forever and share it with family and friends back home.

Alpaca at sunset - I had the pleasure of living a very special experience: a sunset walk with alpacas in Pizzo.
The adventure began in a picturesque pine forest.
The connection with these animals was immediate. Their sweetness and calm transmit a sense of serenity that makes the whole experience even more relaxing and enjoyable.
The walk continued on the beach at sunset. Walking on the sand, with the sound of waves in the background and alpacas at our side, created an almost surreal atmosphere.
If you are looking for a unique activity that will allow you to unwind and relax, this sunset alpaca walk in Pizzo is a must try!

We would do it again! - It was such a lovely experience!
The alpacas and the guides entertained us very well.
It's totally worth the money an we would do it again!
Such lovely people an also such handsome and cute animals.
We felled in love.
But there is a big minus, you have to bring them back - you can’t kidnap them! 😢 😜

Special experience with special friends - I think it is one of the most particular and valid experiences / activities done so far that I would define unique. Walking at sunset on the beach with them was relaxing and rejuvenating. The alpacas are sweet and the owners very nice and helpful. It is definitely an experience to do if you are in Calabria!

Wonderful experience - For those who were in Pizzo Calabro or nearby I highly Recommendation to do this experience. It was great to walk first in the pine forest and then on the beach with the Alpacas... they are sweet and beautiful animals❤
Julia and Max are two really great people that allow you to live this experience😊

Beautiful experience - Great experience, we took a ride in the pine forest and then on the beach. The animals are sociable and very soft. The organizers are friendly and available to answer all curiosities. Recommendation!

W GLI ALPACA - Nice and unique experience.
I went with my boyfriend, we all had our alpacas.
They are quiet animals, very sweet, some love to swim and you can swim there.
The beach for the walk is very quiet, and it was an hour in contact with nature.
The lady very nice and I hope to come back again.

Falling in love with the Alpacas. - Beautiful experience. Julia and Matt are very kind and very welcoming. My daughters (7 and 11) were delighted to have taken the Alpacas for a walk, hugged and bathed in the sea. Sweet and meek animals that leave a sense of sweetness and serenity. Very nice walk to the beach at sunset. I took a lot of pictures to capture the happiness painted on the faces of my daughters. To be redone.

Taking selfies and walking alpacas 🦙 on the beach 🏝️highly recommend 🫶🏻***** - The most exciting and surreal experience! Walking alpacas on the beach! So calming and fun! A must do experience! It was so relaxing and really helped me unwind and de-stress on my holiday! Highly recommended!

Wonderful experience for the whole family - We took a fun walk with the alpacas, taking lots of selfies and learning a lot about these beautiful animals! Fantastic experience not only for children but for everyone, we will thunder for sure!
