The Great Truro Lighthouse experience. - The tour guide Alisha was great, very personal and knowledgeable about the area. Is comfortable with the job and good at answering our questions. The goodie bag was a pleasant surprise. I had been visiting the area for many years, so I knew a lot of the history. Alisha seemed spot on with her information. Didn't get the same info as I got from the other town tour where we learned about the captain's housed and dunes, but that's probably not in the script. I thought we'd get a tour from Aisha once we got to the lighthouse but we were on our own -- which was kinda ok. Not your worry, but the video at the lighthouse was in a bad place. too much back and fourth traffic. Would like more tours in this category -- also simple harbor tours. I saw a great deal of places on the lighthouse map, that I haven't visited -- that could be great. You don't seem to have them on the site and the ones there are sunset or really expensive.

Hidden gem of a light house! - The tour is very informative. The drive through The National Seashore is interesting, also. Not only do you learn about the lighthouse, you get to climb it. Tracy, our guide gave an excellent history of the area. I recommend this tour. It is worth your time.

Overpriced Van ride - Save your money and drive yourself!! The van “tour” there was nothing special. We did not get up close to any other lighthouses. The driver just points to two in the distance. Upon arriving to the lighthouse, we found out that the museum was closed. As that was included in the tour price, I felt a partial refund should have been offered. It costs $8 per person to enter the lighthouse and the same for the museum. So $32 versus $130…. I recommend driving yourself to the lighthouse as it’s worth climbing to the top to check out the great views! Unfortunately, I can’t comment on the museum because we never saw it.
