• Parque Nacional Villarrica - Our journey begins at 227 meters above sea level in the city of Pucón, Chile, heading towards Porqueco. Here, we will start our hike at 1,280 meters above sea level, eventually reaching the summit of Lanín Volcano at 3,747 meters above sea level. In the Mapuche language, Lanín means “covered.”

Due to its geographical location, this summit is shared with Argentina. Its significant elevation offers breathtaking landscapes and a magnificent summit. The Lanín Volcano is revered as a Sacred Site by the Mapuche people, who refer to it as “the heart of the world.” Its immense size and height make it the most imposing volcano in the region.

This adventure spans 2 days. On the first day, we will begin our trek at the base of Lanín and set up camp near 2,800 meters above sea level. On the second day, we will set out early to reach the summit of the highest volcano in southern Chile. From the top, we will enjoy unparalleled views of the valleys and volcanoes of Araucanía, all while standing on the ice cap at the summit of Lanín Volcano. We will descend along the same path, dismantle our camp, and head back to the city of Pucón.
