A rainy trip through old and new - We took the tour with Portia in October. The weather was not on our side as it was raining all day, but we made it work anyways. The tour started in Pudong, showing us a hidden gem midst the busy streets. Due to the rain we skipped the bike tour along the river, but Portia gave us some recommendations to do it another time. We enjoyed the ferry ride and were ready for some yummy food in a suprising location. After we found a rather unknown but very beautiful temple where we learned about the relationship of Chinese to their temples. The worthy finale was a tea ceremony with original tea from Yunnan. Lovely hostesses shared their knowledge of tea with us and even gave us a small concert. We enjoyed the quiet, before Portia sent us on our way with many more recommendations. Overall we really enjoyed our day and would definately book other tours to get to know the less known places of Shanghai.

Time travelling and feeling like a local - With a friend we took part in Wanderlust’s guided half a day tour in the area of North and East part of Bund in Shanghai. Our guides Mia and Sophia were very kind and knowledgeable on the Chinese and Shanghainese history and culture. Discussing with them made me feel like having a tour with friends, catching up with lives, showing places where locals go and making us feel like a local. I enjoyed very much those unexpected places hidden in the city, taking lots of photos. Time flew quickly in this time travel trip. I learned a lot and felt very refreshed and happy after our tour. If you don’t have much time to see around Shanghai, I think this tour gives you a great insight to Shanghainese lifestyle.

Amazing Shanghai Tour - Half day tour with Wanderlust was amazing. I would recommend to any person which visit Shanghai. Our guide Mia and Sophia were great. They showed us very nice less crowded part of Shanghai including amazing Skyline, walking at riverside, passing river cruise, lunch at the place with old vibration of Shanghai, visiting Buddha temple and amazing panoramic view of Shanghai. We took many photos.

The authentic Shanghai - a really fantastic day - We had a private tour and had an incredibly great experience with lots of lasting impressions. We were able to get to know authentic Shanghai. A temple that is not so well known, a bike tour along the Huangpu, visiting a tea-house - this was a great experience, the financial center, old shanghai Jewish refugees and a conclusion at the roof-top coffee. The background information on the past and present rounded everything off. There were hardly any other tourists on our route, so we had the feeling that we were moving about in everyday life. English was spoken very well and communication was perfect. Bee incorporated our wishes optimally and adapted the route accordingly. So at short notice we visited a cafe with an indescribable view of the city.

Amazing tour for sure - Just back from a fantastic tour of Shanghai, which was organised by Wanderlust Shanghai. My Shanghai experience was extraordinary! From start to finish, my guide Mia was attentive and catered to my specific requests. She was thorough, thoughtful, professional, and accessible and she speaks great and clear English.Yesterday, I ventured to the Bund on my own, but it seemed like peak tourist season in Shanghai, with crowds everywhere. However, the places Mia took me had no tourists at all! When we visited the Shanghai Tower, the ticket attendant mentioned a two-hour wait in line! Mia, eager for me to enjoy the skyline views, led me to a stunning café with hardly anyone around, ensuring unobstructed photo opportunities. We rode bikes together, experienced the local ferry like the locals, and then we savored Pu'er tea, we laughed and we ate homemade noodles together. It was truly a very special experience. Doing all this on my own would be impossible. I highly recommend Wanderlust Shanghai to anyone. They definitely went the extra mile for every customer.
