Salva and Bernardo were... - Salva and Bernardo were great guides and always checked in with everyone. Plenty of food and liquids provided. The hike was generally fine (in terms of difficulty), but due to the high altitude and heat, it's a bit harder uphill. A bit dusty, so be prepared to get dirty. Lovely hike and some nice views!

Best for people in above average fitness level - This experience is a wonderful hike with amazing views of the two volcanoes. The guides were very helpful and will be sure to allow everyone to walk at their own pace. Be aware, this is a 9-10 mile hike at 13000 feet of elevation. The paths are well maintained and easy to walk, but the elevation and distance will feel strenuous if you not in decent shape. It is well worth the experience if you are up for it!

Wonderful Experience - had a great time (57), my brother less so.
You do need to be relatively fit (able to walk up slopes for say 50m or so) - remember there's less oxygen per inhale there! It's more than a GB walk in a town park. Stretches of steep/long up, and generally level.
The guides were great, hanging back with my brother.
You get "snacks" - a full pack lunch for any appetite- and plenty water in your rucksack, and THEN a full Mexican meal afterwards (about 2pm) in an open-air cantina on the road back down.
No-one asked for money or tips either, so nice to feel a genuine part of the trip and not just a money-making opportunity.
(I did give something due to the extra input for my brother)
You stop about the tree-line, the top (half the height of Everest!)would take 10 hours (just the ascent). It was about 8 degrees C at start (you need a fleece, trousers and jacket) but I was down to shorts and T-shirt by the end.
You "hill walk" from about 3,500m to just below 4,000m, I think the guides said 300m of ascent (and back down) in 5 hours, with rests.

Volcano Hike México city - Our guide Sergio was courteous, attentive and knowledgeable. The hike was quiet and peaceful with stunning landscape, a wonderful outdoor reprieve not expected from the hustle bustle of Mexico City. I would highly recommend

We had a wonderful time... - We had a wonderful time hiking in the beautiful volcano range with Carlos as our guide. Our group was small but we got along well, and the weather and scenery were both excellent. The hike was enjoyable but not too difficult and the pace of our group was relatively fast. Carlos is very attentive to everyone's needs. He is knowledgeable, warm, and spirited, and we felt well taken care of from pick up to drop off. It was a pleasure and an unforgettable part of our trip to Mexico City!

Beautiful hiking about 2... - Beautiful hiking about 2 hours outside Mexico City. No one else on the trails apart from our group. Carlos managed the logistics well and was friendly. Something unique to do - most people we met in CDMX hadn’t been to these national parks.
We’re both pretty fit and didn’t have any trouble with the altitude - it’s a pretty easy hike as these things go. A few folk in our group got more out of breath.

Hiking between the Popo and Sleeping Woman - The hike was great. Highly recommend. Beautiful waterfall at the mid point. Guides Carlos and Alan were informative and supportive. Lunch was good. Never had a squash flower taco. It was delicious.

Everything was well... - Everything was well organized, and Carlos was a great tour guide. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the experience enjoyable. The views on the trek were fantastic—if you can, choose the long loop; it was my favorite part! I would definitely recommend this tour; it was a memorable experience. 10/10, WE RECOMMEND 🤩🤩🤩
We received plenty of water, Gatorade, snacks, and a sandwich. The altitude can be a bit challenging, but it’s to be expected.
The van was comfortable, though if you’re tall, sitting in the front row might be more comfortable. The drive takes about two hours each way, and the roads can be quite winding, so if you get car sick, consider taking medication beforehand.
We stopped for restrooms midway through the drive. It’s a good idea to bring some cash for bathroom access and toilet paper, as there are no facilities on the trail or at the trailhead.
The whole trip lasted just over 10 hours, including the drive, but it was worth it! We also met some nice people in our group, which made the experience even better. Thank you, Carlos, for a great day!

Don’t go on Monday - The guide Carlos was great, had a lot of good information on the volcanoes and kept the group together. Wish we had known in advance that the park is closed on Monday so we couldn’t get to the volcano vista. Overall good trip, good snacks, and good tacos after.

Stunning views, great hike - This was a nice, guided hiking trip. The tour company drove our group up to the mountains and we were accompanied by two guides during the hike. The scenery was stunning, and we got lucky with the weather, it was not cold, the sun was out, and it was an enjoyable hike. A lunch at a roadside stand after the hike was included in the trip, and it was pretty good. The reason I took one star off the rating is because there was no commentary whatsoever provided during the tour. The tour guide basically acted as a driver and a shepherd during the hike. It would have been nice to hear some interesting facts about the volcanos, the area, the flora. Nothing like that was offered, he just walked in front of the group in complete silence. The second guide, Johannes at least answered questions when asked, but the main guide looked uninterested in interacting with the group.
