More than a food tour - Aleyn was our tour guide and she was exceptional. We met at the tourist office just across from the Zocalo at 1 PM. We went on a walking tour of the city around the Zocalo and stopped at about five or six different places to eat. All of them were very good. Most were very small stands and out-of-the-way places that we probably never would have gone to on our own. there are a lot of interesting stories about the places we ate and also about the city of Puebla. One we especially enjoyed was El Sultan. There was also a candy shop on the dolce’s Street and a wonderful bakery with fresh cooked goods. This was a great orientation to the city and just a good time. I would highly recommend such a tour on your arrival to Puebla.

Abundant Puebla surprises - Every stop came with real gastronomic and historical surprises. So many interesting experiences and insights right under our noses. Mostly we had been in the vicinity of these places before but it was if we had seen and understood nothing! So fascinating, so TASTY, distinctive, and so well conveyed by the super bright and personable Maria. We will probably go back and find all or most of the spots for MORE!

I was lucky enough to... - I was lucky enough to have a private tour since I was the only person that signed up. Everything was amazing, was left in a food coma so come hungry!

Wonderful and filling - I knew we wanted to do a food tour while in Puebla, and this was the easiest one to book directly. When I was worried that we weren’t at the right meeting spot, I texted the office and they got back to me right away, but by then our guide Aleyn had already found us for what wound up being a private tour. We visited 5 unassuming places, 3 with bigger bites. One stop was sweets which wasn’t my favorite, but we got to take some home to enjoy with our coffee the next morning. And the last stop was for a nice digestif. The other 3 included large portions; 2 included multiple dishes. Two were “street food” in terms of standing and eating, and at one, we were able to sit down and use a restroom. I loved that we got to try items we don’t get here at home in San Diego very often (or at all) and from places we wouldn’t have been brave enough to try on our own. I’ve been on many food tours (this was #70) and this one was the right balance of culture and history, walking, and delicious food. I also appreciated the follow-up email with a list of all of the places we went on the tour.

The nicest most knowledgeable tour guide! She was wonderful and very patient either way all of our questions. - The rating is very well deserved. We Really enjoyed learning about the food customs and the concepts of cooking at home.

Street Food Tour of Puebla - I gave 5 stars because Alyen was a wonderful tour guide. She’s a poblana through and through and knows the history and takes pride in the beautiful culture of Puebla! I would for sure recommend this trip and request Alyen! I would have docked some stars because the meeting point was not well organized, there where numerous tours going on and I think that should be more sharpened up. And the food was great, however, it was street food and that should be mentioned in the tour.

Local flavor in Puebla - Maria made this tour great! The food was amazing, but Maria's warmth, enthusiasm and knowledge made it special. We tasted many of the local specialties and each stop was an adventure. We learned not only about the food, but the people that made it. This was a highlight of our visit to Puebla and highly recommend

Very nice activity but not for the high price - A very pleasant and very interesting activity. Aleyn is an excellent guide, her English is impeccable and especially almost without accent. The food is very good but it is street food, while Puebla has much more to offer. The only problem with this tour is the price. Far too expensive for what it's worth.

Fantastic way to get to know Puebla! - We had a wonderful, fun tour around Puebla sampling the food and learning about the area! Super friendly and knowledgeable guide was a delight to talk with! Our only issue was that it was way too much food to eat! I would recommend one item per stop or maybe smaller portions? Also it’d be great to leave people with a reminder of what they had at each place!
