LA LOBERIA
named for the great colony of sea lions, we will also visit Punta Estrada, the shark channel and the beach of the dog.
We will do snorkeling on this tour.

Highlights
- Malecon de Puerto Ayora - The guide will pick up you in the lobby of the hotel ( Hotel pick up inside the Urban perimeter puerto ayora)
- Las Grietas - We have 2 daily departures 09H00 AM and 14H00 PM, the tour lasts between 3 hours.
The pick up starts between 08:30 AM to 0845 AM in the morning and 1:30 PM to 1:45 PM in the afternoon depending on the hotel where the pax is located.
We will go to La Lobería (small islet located 10 minutes away
from the port), site where we carry out the snorkeling activity in which there is the possibility of swimming with sea lions.
Then we moved to Punta Estrada to watch birds such as: blue-footed boobies, seagulls and pelicans.
Our third activity consists of an excursion to the Playa de los
dogs where we can find iguanas in quantity around an area of volcanic rocks and sesuvium.
Likewise, we continue towards the Channel of Love and the Shark Channel (in the latter we can make sightings of blue sharks).
- Malecon de Puerto Ayora - The tour end in Puerto Ayora’s dock, there no drop off in the hotel . You have to go to your accommodation by yourself.

Nice half day excursion from Santa Cruz! - Was a really nice excursion to see Blue Footed Boobies and their babies, El Canal de Amor and Las Grietas. When we went snorkeling I also saw a shark, sting ray and fish which was nice as well. Las Grietas was a bit touristy and not much to see except parrot fish, but decent for a good photo stop.

Amazing wildlife and great overview - We really enjoyed this tour. We had the chance to snorkel and saw a shark laying in the sand and a sea turtle swimming and coming up for air, not to mention all the beautiful fish. This was also our first sighting of the blue-footed boobies and frigatebirds. The bay tour is a standard trip here, and having English translations was super helpful.

Half day tour in Santa Cruz - Eddie and the rest are wonderful . The activities were great for a first timer in Galapagos . Highly recommended.

Good to do as a first tour. We had seen a lot of the wildlife already so it was a little tedious. - Very hot, and a lot of talking by the guide initially. Once we got to the snorkeling portion the tour improved. We did this tour last amongst 5 tours, and it would have been better suited for doing first.

EXCELLENT sites, poor Guide - Best tour on Santa Cruz Island. Tour visits 5 off-shore sites that are all great. Lots of snorkeling, swimming, hiking, boating. Includes snorkeling/swimming in the infamous Las Grietas. Would be 5 stars but our Guide, David Ascencio, yelled at us for using our saliva in our masks….? He embarrassed us by yelling in Spanish “go spit in your own private mask and not ours….? Ummm, that’s diving and snorkeling 101 dude. Without David Ascencio berating and over-controlling us, would have been great.

Nice Introduction to Santa Cruz Island - Good introduction to Santa Cruz, if you arrive early and want to take advantage of a later afternoon tour. Saw some beautiful wildlife, including a Blue Footed Boobie, iguanas and sea turtle.

This is a great option to... - This is a great option to do something the day you arrive to Puerto Ayora, as there aren’t many half-day options. I landed at 11 and was able to make it to the afternoon option. I will say, the meeting location is obscure and I waited around for thirty minutes before they finally showed, but I had a great time after that.

Not an English language tour as advertised - This was not an English language tour as advertised. I sadly knew nothing about the places we visited. I repeatedly had to ask for translations and when I did, the guide would say a few words in confusing English. I was so excited for this tour, so the false advertising was disappointing.
