A naturalists whale watching trip - I read reports that this rip was expensive and at 85 euros it seems that way especially if you compare with the tourist trips with their huge numbers and emphasis on getting you out and back ready for the next trip. I took the We Whale trip from Los Gigantes in Tenerife and the cost compares well with other low number trips in the area. Our boat had 9 paying guests plus 2 crew who were informative and great spotters - we saw both pilot whales and dolphins - we with the whales for at least 3/4 hour. Emphasis is upon a quiet approach so that the animals reman calm and the electric engines and skilled navigation both help to achieve that. And the whole trip is dedicated to whale watching - no paella, no swim under the cliffs - just nature in the wild. The company says this is the future of whale watching I really hope they are right. Finally, the cost might exclude a family of four but if you are a keen naturalist this trip is really one for the bucket list.

Catamaran trip accompanied by dolphins. - Beautiful views. Peace on the catamaran. Small group of 7 people. Dolphin approaches and magic communion without disturbing them. Drink, dried fruit, bananas and a little souvenir offered at the end of the outing are appreciable. Sylvia thank you for your welcome.

Fantastic experience and how all whale and dolphin watching should be done. - What an amazing day. Beautiful scenery, amazing catamaran, professional service from start to finish. The environmental ethos was a refreshing change from other boat trips we have been on, and as we scoured the sea for a glimpse of a whale or dolphin we also kept our eyes peeled for plastic waste which the team collected. The sight of a hammerhead shark was very exciting and then later on a large pod of Atlantic spotted dolphins joined us and played around our boat for over 20 minutes. It was an exhilarating experience, and we would highly recommend the We Whale team.

Catamaran trip - Knowledgeable and friendly crew. A lovely way to see the coastline on a very impressive vessel. Served a picnic towards the end of the trip while the sun set .q

Pure relaxation! - Many thanks to the friendly and very competent crew! We had a wonderful relaxing tour. We have seen roughtoothed dolphins and spotted dolphins. It was very impressive and overall a great experience that we are very happy to recommend. For kids expecting action, though, it's nothing!

Clean the ocean. - Unfortunately no whale or dolphin sighting. However, a lot of plastic waste that was fished out as far as possible. Great class. Friendly staff, friendly staff.

Nice boat trip - but with disappointments - The small group size and quiet gliding on the catamaran were very pleasant. Stops were repeatedly made to fish garbage out of the water. I also liked that, as I am a garbage collector in nature on hikes myself. However, I had the impression that it was mainly about collecting garbage and only incidentally about spotting whales/dolphins. The crew hardly even took binoculars in hand or gave the appearance that they were trying to sight animals. Unfortunately we didn't see any whales/dolphins (which of course nobody can help). I also found it disappointing that, apart from a few sentences at the beginning, nothing else was told or informed about environmental/marine issues during the whole trip. And no regrets were expressed about the unsuccessful tour. Overall, it was a nice boat trip - however, I felt a bit exploited.

Expensive four hour cruise - We didn’t see dolphins or whales and this of course you cannot predict as they won’t always be around. That said I thought the price of €80 was very expensive for a four hour cruise. Some bananas, dried fruit and fruit juice was offered as a snack and they guys running it were nice enough but it was just too expensive and I wouldn’t do it again

Pretty but not worth it - I was really looking forward to this trip, but unfortunately, it fell short of expectations. We didn’t spot any whales or dolphins, which I understand, can’t be guaranteed, but what made it more disappointing was the lack of enthusiasm from the crew. They seemed unmotivated and offered little to no explanation or updates throughout the journey. A bit more effort to engage with the passengers and share insights about the sea life or surroundings would have made the experience feel less like a missed opportunity. Overall, it was a beautiful scenery but a bit disappointing for the price.
