Whales Up Close and Personal - This lived up to my expectations! We were in a boat with 6 other people. Surrounded by about 15 whales, they just floated along side of us. What a beautiful and relaxing experience. We went in mid-January, our guide told us that February usually has more whales.

It's a great company for people with disabilities to consult! - I have seen whales many times. I have a bad leg and use a wheelchair, but the staff pushed me up the slope when I went to the toilet, and they made me sit and stand when I got on the boat, which was really good

Amazing gray whale watching supportive of local community - Pamela is a knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide. Her passion for gray whales is infectious. I appreciate her efforts to partner with the local fishing community to protect them and create ecotourism as a viable alternative to overfishing. We saw so many gray whales and the lunch was fabulous!

Save the grey whales - A 2 hour ride each way but worth it. We were in the middle of a 300+ whale pod, unforgettable experience.

We saw so many whales! Bring a good camera! - The boat captain would always position us to get good photos. They seemed to know when the whales were going to surface. We always felt safe and were very impressed with the information we received about the whales.

They stand out from the rest - Baja Whales stands out among the others in their care and concern for the local fishing village that is impacted by tourism. They want to respectfully help create a new economy for the villagers while respecting their traditional ways. From the van to the lunches to the boat to the guide, everything the company provided was quality. Very nice people. They tried repeatedly to find whales until we found a pair that wanted to hang out by us and a couple other boats. They made sure we each had a chance to touch whale. Although it is not guaranteed that whales will get so close, they tried their best to create a situation where everyone could get a chance to be up close with the whales.

Adventure of a lifetime - This adventure was well worth the 2hr drive each way. We went with my 9 and 11 year old and my 77 year old parents and everyone absolutely loved it. There were plenty of whales and some came right up to the boat! It was a one in a lifetime experience. Our guide, Shiro, was very knowledgeable and fun to hang out with all day. The food at Puerto Chale was good too! They had water and sodas for the trip, but bring snacks for the car ride.

Nice way to spend the day - It was a cold and windy day, so the whales weren’t interested in hanging out on the surface or visiting the boat. And not many had arrived by mid January. But Pamela was an excellent marine biologist guide and she picked us up at our place. The lunch was great as well.

Disappointing tour - The three stars are not for the experience itself which was great but for the tour/tour guide. Description said that a Marine Biologist will be part of the tour. Unless the tour guide who barely spoke was the Biologist this is not correct. Basically this was a round trip transportation. If you have your own rental car, just drive there yourself and save $$.
