As we’ve come to expect... - As we’ve come to expect when booking through Viator, another interesting and stress less tour. And thank you for the best afternoon tea ever in Gaiman.

Very good - Everything is fascinating, seeing the whales within reach, the dolphins, the dolphins and all the fauna of the place is incredible, the excursions are expensive, but they are worth it, the tea in Gaiman is priceless, the best, well attended and a beautiful place. All the wonderful landscape, I recommend staying in Puerto Madryn, I stayed in Trelew, at the Rayentray hotel, which is also in Madryn, good service, great food, super attentive people, the hotel bar is nice and with correct prices

We took this as Private tour from... -
We took this as Private tour from our cruise ship. As there were just 4 of us it was expensive but nothing of a similar sort was being offered by the cruise line and as our travelling companions were Welsh it was a must for them. We were not disappointed in any way. Our guide was delightful and a descendant of one of the original Welsh Settlers - his name proudly shown to us on the memorial statue. She was very informative and tailor-made the day to suit us. The time was well utilised to include a Welsh Tea. A very worthwhile trip with variety and interest. Good value for the money and even better if you are a larger group. This was the second time we had used Viator on this trip and again I have no hesitation in recommending them. I will definitely use them again.

Disappointing in many ways but an excellent guide who went above & beyond. - The guide Sylvie was fabulous. She could not do enough to help us.
Sadly the tour as described was not available. The museum was closed for renovations and the tea houses only open in the afternoon.
We had booked a morning tour so they should have known this. All the museums & Chapels were closed.
The driver and guide worked very hard to make it an interesting tour in difficult circumstances.
The vehicle was clean & comfy

Very enjoyable informative Tour - We had a private Tour for the two of us from the Pier at Puerto Madryn where our Guide Diego was waiting for us. Diego took us to different places than we would have seen if we had gone on the Cruise Tour. e.g. we saw where Butch Cassidy stayed before robbing the bank in Trelew. We saw the tiny Railway Museum. We had lunch at a pub with a cute outside back area with grapes and vines hanging from the exposed rafters. And of course we passed the giant reconstructed Dinosaur.
.In Gaiman we walked through a now derelict railway tunnel still in perfect condition which was lit up with interesting information. We went to the Welsh Cafe but stayed only as long as we wished.
We went to the beach where the original Welsh arrived in Puerto Madryn. It was a very stimulating Tour.

This tour is of particular interest... -
This tour is of particular interest to visitors from Wales who understand the journey and settlement of Welsh speaking immigrants in 1865. The presence of Welsh speaking locals, Welsh names and Welsh tea rooms so far from Wales is fascinating.
The guide we had was very pleasant and helpful and his knowledge of the situation was correct.
The rating for this tour would have been greater if we had more time but this was not the fault of the tour. The situation was unavoidable since we arrived on a cruise ship early in the morning and left relatively early in the afternoon. One of the main attractions in Gaiman is to visit a Welsh tea room which, of course, tend to open in the afternoon. Fortunately, our guide did find one open for us at mid day so we had afternoon tea for lunch since we had to be back on board ship at 3pm. The guide took us to other places of interest such as a small art gallery, some Welsh chapels, the school for Welsh learners and finally, the caves in which the original settlers survived over winter in Puerto Madryn where they landed.
If you do not have the constraints of time and are interested in the Welsh settlements of Patagonia then this is a good tour.

Gaiman excursion and collection!!! - First of all they charged me the amount of the excursion in pesos and they are charging me the taxes as if I had bought in dollars.
Can someone explain why?
As for the excursion we did not like it as we could not visit the paleontological museum and we were left "free" in Trelew without doing anything interesting. Good tea but nothing otherworldly, very touristy place for the prices but nothing unique, I think you can do something a little more illustrative of Gaiman, not just have a tea.

I would not recommend this tour. We... -
I would not recommend this tour. We booked a private tour in ENGLISH which we confirmed by phone. Instead we had a Spanish speaking guide with an interpreter who was just a student. He was a very personable fellow, but admitted it was his first attempt at the job he was not a qualified translator. The guide was very enthusiastic and seemed knowledgeable. She would speak for several minutes but we would usually get about a 1 sentence translation. The ride was longer than anticipated and without background information, a little boring. We visited a historic museum and ate lunch, both at our own expense. The tour was expensive for what we received. We spoke with others who arranged transportation for less than 1/3 the cost. The van was nice, but we were a bit cramped because having to carry the translator. The villages were unremarkable. We left a good tip because we felt it was the providers fault the guide did not speak English. We contacted Viator about the issue and the response from the tour provider was: “We have a problem the day before so we have to make the tour with a guide that speak a little bit of english, because of that we go with an interpreter. The interpreter only have problems when they ask him opinion about the politic, education and economic situation of Argentina. We go with the interpreter to give them the service they book.”
Despite the tour operator’s lack of willingness to take responsibility for our bad experience, Viator gave us a partial refund. I have used Viator for other tours and have received good value. I recommend Viator as a booking agent, but not this tour.

The tour guide was a nice person... -
The tour guide was a nice person but did not have the knowledge to provide an informative narrative during the tour and/or her English was not good enough to share the information. She often could not answer questions we asked and would have to consult with the driver. She did not know the operating hours of the sights we visited nor the price of admission. She took us to a Welsh Tearoom, one of the features of the tour, not knowing if it was open. The driver had to go up to find out and the cost of the tea. She took us to the First Welsh House when the museum and house were closed. She provided next to no narrative when driving through Trelew, by the farms and through Gaiman. The tour was a huge disappointment
