Excellent tour - Our tour to see the Penguins was excellent. They were so cute. It’s a can’t miss if you’re in Patagonia. Our tour guide, Martin was excellent. He had excellent knowledge of everything about Puerto Madryn and knew everything about Patagonia, flora, fauna and penguins. Highly recommend. Great trip and great pictures for great memories.

Penguins ❤️ - Fantastic day! We were met right at the end of the cruise pier by Diego and his crew. They are easy to find because of the blue balloon. The van is comfortable, clean with working air conditioning. Our guide Martin had great knowledge of the area and provided an excellent full day tour. The driver always stopped to allow us to view and photograph wildlife including Guanacos, Mara, and many birds. First stop is the small museum, great to quickly read some info on the area and a restroom break. Then off to see the penguins! This rookery was well managed by the Rangers. Penguins are literally EVERYWHERE, under bushes, trees, in their burrows and near the water. Our time with them was magical! Afterwards we went to the lunch stop at Estancia San Lorenzo. Food is very good and served in large portions. Next stop was Punta Norte where we viewed Elephant Seals and sea lions on the beach. The day was long but well worth the driving time and over the dirt roads. A really great day!

Close Up Penguin Encounters - We enjoyed our excursion to the San Lorenzo Peninsula Valdes. We got up close and personal with the penguins. We also had a delicious lunch. Although the excursion was a bit expensive, it was worth the money.

Large penguin colony at Estancia San Lorenzo no crowds!! - This trip was amazing. We loved that it was only us 2 and a guide. Carlos answered all of our questions. Yes rough roads and very long drive to Punta Norte We had a short stop at a small museum - you can get a free passport stamp- to learn about the peninsula. At the northern most point we saw young elephant seals, and adult sea lions and babies. They were on the beach below a cliff The coast line was beautiful. We then stopped at Estancia San Lorenzo. There is a Magelenic penguin rookery. There were so many all different ages. Just incredible seeing them walk down to the water. There were hundreds swimming. We were able to get fairly close but had to keep a distance because of Avian bird flu threat. We saw a lot of different activity of the penguins adults and babies. This is a working sheep ranch. We stopped at the ranch for empanadas & barbequed Lamb. Food was included as well as a glass of wine. This is a full day excursion but you will get back to the ship on time!

Excellent trip, worth the drive - Excellent excursion, everything was wonderful although a long drive, it didn’t feel like it with all the wildlife along the way. Our guide Nani was very knowledgable and enthusiastic, she answered all our questions.

Avoid the Crowds - This is a perfect tour for solo and couples travelers who want to avoid crowds and see elephant seals, sea lions, penguins and other local wildlife plus enjoy a fantastic Argentine lunch featuring lamb and wine. The trade off is the tour is a bit pricey and you will spend approximately 3-4 hours, much of it on gravel roads. For me this was all well worth it, and my guide, Fernando, was excellent.

Extremely cramped vehicle. Do NOT recommend! - Our excursion had pluses and minuses. The positive aspects were the spectacular scenery and the ability to see the sea lions and penguins in their habitat. Our driver, Santiago, was kind and very knowledgeable. The lunch of barbecued lamb, sausage, salad, empanadas and flan at San Lorenzo was quite good and ample. The negatives, which were quite significant, included a long trip in a very compact Ford pick-up, which made Economy class feel luxuriant. My wife ended up seated in the middle of the back seat on a hump with zero leg room. I am 6’1” and was in the back seat with minus zero leg room. There was another couple in the same vehicle. The vehicle was high, which made it quite difficult for my wife to climb in and out of the vehicle. Our guide, who was the driver of the vehicle, could not be heard by those sitting in the back seats. We prepaid $20.00 each for the entrance to Cape Verdes, but the price listed on the actual ticket was $12.00 each. If I had known what type of vehicle we would be transported in, I definitely would not have travelled with this agency. Thus, despite the positives, unless Sentir guarantees a comfortable vehicle, I ABSOLUTELY do NOT recommend using this tour agency.

Unsuitable Tour Transportation - Our guide, Santiago, was very knowledgeable about the area and the wildlife and provided interesting commentary. However, the vehicle provided for transport, a small Ford pickup truck, was unsuitable for our 5 person tour group which included 2 couples and the tour guide. Enroute roundtrip from Puerto Madryn to the San Lorenzo Peninsula, we spent 5 hours in this truck in very cramped conditions, shoulder to shoulder with knees touching the seats and dashboard. Also, the air conditioning did not adequately reach the 3 back seat passengers. We expected the trip for the wildlife viewing would be long, but, if we had known this undersized vehicle would be used, we would never have booked this small group tour.
