• Furnillo - Snorkeling with sea lions offers a truly unique and unforgettable experience that can be enjoyed throughout the year. This adventure provides the opportunity to observe and interact with these fascinating creatures in their natural environment.

No prior experience or swimming skills are required, making it an excellent activity for both adults and children.

The adventure typically begins in the morning when participants meet at the dive center to gear up in a 7mm wetsuit. Swimsuits or thermal underwear can be worn underneath. It’s important to bring dry clothes to change into after the excursion. A brief 30-minute boat ride takes participants to Punta Loma Natural Reserve, where they will spend an hour snorkeling alongside the playful sea lions. The return boat journey takes approximately 40 minutes. The entire excursion lasts around 3.5 hours. During the boat ride, a knowledgeable guide provides information about snorkeling techniques and how to interact safely with the sea lions.

Punta Loma is home to the only permanent colony of South American sea lions (Otaria flavescens) in the area.

During the return, participants can enjoy some famous “medialunas” along with coffee, tea, or mate.
