From a view point, you can appreciate the geographical characteristics of this Natural Reserve: such as the Birds Island. From this spot, we continue with the tour towards the only village at PenÃnsula Valdes: Puerto Pirámides. This small port, is the only one from where the vessels are authorized to go on a whale watching from June to December. Puerto Piramides offers an outstanding image, with its clear waters and white cliffs, protecting the small beach. After visiting this port, we keep going to the Atlantic Ocean: Caleta Valdes is the next stop. Crossing the steppe, going through 80 km. on a gravel road, watching the endemic land fauna, such as guanacos, choices and maras and an important colony of elephants seals. Fantastic - The view was fantastic. It was worth all the money.
Pictures say more than words. The best time of year to see whales is September/October

Very good experience with Sussanich Turismo travel agency. Beautiful Pto. Madryn - We carried out the excursion with the Sussanich Turismo travel agency, excellent coordination.
We also hired them for the Punta Tombo excursion and airport transfers, they informed us instantly if there were any changes. Excellent.
Puerto Madryn surprised me!
Eating in restaurants was cheaper than in Buenos Aires, the bad thing is that in some places they were abusive with the price of wine. For example, at Náutico Bistró del Mar, we ordered a Santa Julia TardÃo white wine, we didn't look at the menu, it was a 500cc, and they charged us $6,500.- and the Malbec was $4,000.-
Later, when we went to the sightseeing, at the Peke Sosa bar, we ordered a to-go drink ($1100) and a large, very delicious cornstarch alfajor ($800), they charged us $800 for the disposable glass. Of course all cash because they said they didn't have internet. The funny thing is that in the middle of the sea we had . Those who went with advance travel did not take it. A shame that they are abused with travelers.
That was the ugly part of the trip, the rest of it was beautiful. I would return.
