Successful immersion in the Amazon forest. Very good guide Saay, with a rich knowledge of area. - During our trip with friends in Peru, a 4-day jungle tour in the Amazon forest was on the program. It was a great experience. The organization provided well-filled days, even on a tropical rainy day. We experienced a beautiful canopy tour, siprides, learned a lot about animals and plants, and also the natives. Have spotted alligators, birds and capabaris, done beautiful boat and hiking trips through the forest culminating in the exploration of the Sandoval lake. Cute monkeys, tarantullas, many bird species and caimans spotted. A breathtakingly beautiful place. The accommodation at Paradise Yakari Ecolodge is great, but don’t expect great luxury. 4 days of no wifi and limited electricity ensures that you are completely deconneted. After all, it's also the Amazon. Specific compliments for our guide Saay. He was incredibly knowledgeable, had a rich knowledge of all kinds of subjects and spoke fluent English. This tour was very budget friendly and one vd toppers of our trip!

Amazing 10/10 experience staying on the edge of the Amazon - This was an incredible four day experience, absolutely packed with different activities and hosted in a picturesque lodge which borders the Amazon rainforest. The tour guides were helpful and ensured that we got the most out of each of the visited which were organised, including seeing an incredible variety of wildlife (we saw caiman, capybaras and sloths on the river excursions; multiple different types of monkeys - howlers; squirrel; night monkeys) and insects during the jungle trips, and were even lucky enough to see the giant otters at Sandoval lake. For the price we paid c.£260 each, this was an absolute bargain. A couple of points to consider before you book: this, as should be expected, isn't 5* accommodation and you should expect limited hot water, internet, room cleaning etc. - you are staying in the rainforest after all. There was also an opportunity to participate in an ayahuasca ceremony at an additional cost, which staff kept mentioning, and they seemed disappointed when we weren't interested in this (it was pricey and I expect they take a cut if it goes ahead). Overall this was a 10/10 experience though, we loved it.

Butterflies and tarantulas, beautiful and disgusting - I strongly recommend visiting. You get pretty much the same activities in 3 or 4 days, the 4 days offers a little more chilling time. Ayahuasca costs 150$ my experience with the shamans was great! Bring bug spray 30% Deer or more, sunscreen, flashlight and bathing suit. There is little internet, WhatsApp messages make it in and out from time to time but nothing more.

Beautiful experience - My husband, my daughter and I spent a month in Peru. For sure our trip in the Amazon Forest with Paradise Yakari Amazon Tours was one of the highlights of our trip. We had a great time discovering the biodiversity : tarantulas, Capybaras, cute monkeys, colorful birds including macaws, huge ants, all kind of amazing insects, baby caimans and learning about trees and plants. My favourite part of the tour was the Sandoval Lake where we spent the afternoon searching for wildlife, not knowing what to expect and hoping to see some animals or birds. The lodge itself was comfortable and the food was good. Be prepared for no internet and limited electricity. It is the Amazon forest after all. A special mention to our guide, Saai , who was so knowledgeable and who shared his passion for the amazon forest with us. Thanks to the whole team.

An action-packed tour I will never forget. Incredibly organised with an amazing guide. - This tour was such an action-packed, fun experience and one I'll never forget. So many different excursions, zip lining, night tours, visit to Monkey Island. Incredibly organised and our guide Sigh was the best tour guide we have ever had. He spoke incredible English, spoke passionately and had expansive knowledge about the Amazon.

Great lodge and guide - We had a great time at the Paradise Amazon Ecolodge! It was a good mix of adventure activities and relaxation time. Our guide, Sam, was amazing!! He was very passionate and had eagle eyes for finding animals! He was very accommodating to the group especially when one of us wasn't feeling very well. The food was also really good!

Lovely 4 day experience. - Had a great 4 day experience made all the more special by such lovely helpfully staff. Special mentions to Rosie who organised all the pick ups and drop offs, Franklin our guide who was the best at spotting the wildlife and gave us so much information and insight into the country, people and cultures, and to captain Lil who manovered the boat with skill so we could see the wildlife at its best. Food was all fresh and delicious and the pool was very welcome after hot days adventures.

Amazing Tour Of The Amazon Jungle - Had an amazing time on this tour - It was just about perfect. The animals, wildlife and scenery were breathtaking. Some highlights were the sunrise bird watch tour as well as the piranha fishing (I almost caught one but it slipped off my hook!) The guides all speak multiple languages (French, Spanish, Portuguese, English), so it's easy to follow the tours. They were also very flexible in working around various travel arrangements, which was nice. The only downside was that on my final day I ended up missing my 8:45am flight back to Cusco because the transfer from the jungle eco-lodge to the airport took too long (we had to take a 30 minute boat ride to the shore and the taxi that was meant to take me to their airport showed up late). It ended up costing me quite a bit to book another flight and I was in a rush to get to Cusco since I had booked a tour to machu pichu. I guess my recommendation would be to try ask to go to Peurto Maldonado, the nearby town, the evening before any early morning travel since it's obviously quite remote. But this does not take away too much from the overall amazing experience I had and the helpfulness of al the staff.

Good tours, good guide but very shabby accommodations! Dirty rooms, laundry etc. Just cold water! Pool full of seaweed! - Very very shabby rooms, dirty, mold all over the bathroom, algae pool overall unkempt and rundown facility! The guide tried to help where he could, nice tours with us made a small compensation for sleepless nights in dirt and disgust.
