Tambopata River - Day 1: Arrival in Puerto Maldonado - Transfer to Lodge.

Tambopata River - Day 1: Arrival in Puerto Maldonado - Transfer to Lodge.
Upon arrival at the airport or bus station in Puerto Maldonado, guests will be greeted and taken to the office for registration. Any excess luggage will be securely stored at the office in Puerto Maldonado before transferring to the lodge. A refreshing welcome drink will be provided.
After enjoying a delicious lunch, the adventure begins with the Canopy Tower experience. Standing 35 meters tall, it is constructed at the base of a giant Lupuna Tree, symbolizing the Amazon with its impressive size. After exploring the canopy, guests will have the opportunity to zip-line through the forest.
Later, the next activity involves taking a boat along the Madre de Dios River to search for Jungle caimans, often found on the riverbanks. With some luck, capybaras may also be spotted.
Overnight stay at the lodge.

Tambopata National Reserve - Day 2: LAKE SANDOVAL – RETURN TO PUERTO MALDONADO
Following a hearty breakfast, guests will take a boat to reach the Tambopata National Reserve Zone control. After a 1.5-hour walk through the rainforest, they will arrive at the renowned Sandoval Lake. Surrounded by towering ancient trees and tangled vines, visitors will witness a vibrant array of flora and fauna, including Giant Otters, birds, colorful butterflies, turtles, and various fish. A few hours will be spent canoeing on one of the region’s most stunning lakes.
Guests will return to the lodge and then take a boat back to Puerto Maldonado, followed by a transfer to the airport or bus station.
