Amazing!!!!!!! - The whole day was amazing! This company was so organized, professional and communicative! Our guides, Jose, Mara, and Monkey were the BEST! They were attentive, polite, funny, and so informative! Monkey took extra special time getting amazing pictures of my daughter and I and captured our fun so well! I would HIGHLY recommend this company and this trip!

Fun, breath-taking, and memorable - This was our first time in the Dominican Republic. We walked out of the cruise terminal and continued for about 10 minutes to meet our guide, Darlin. He was enthusiastic, informative, cheerful and attentive. After arriving at the site, it was obvious that this was a popular tourist destination. We were grouped with about 20 other people as we started our hike. It is a pretty long accent up a well-maintained trail. For me, the work and effort were just right; tired legs and a bit of a burn in my lungs, but great sights along the way.
At the top of the hill, we then descended some wooden stairs to the river. There are a series of crossings. Eventually, we got to the water slides. We all were wearing helmets and life vests. It was a blast to slide down in the cool, refreshing water. We repeated this about 2 more times before coming to the lowest one. Here you have three choices; jump about 20 feet into the pool, go down a very fast water slide, or take a ladder to the pool below.
From here it is about a 20-minute hike back to the beginning. We were fed a great self-serve meal and a soft drink and then returned to the cruise terminal. We learned that you must have a photo ID with you to get back on the ship.
The service was great and the experience exhilarating. Darlin was great as well.

Amazing! - This was such an exciting trip! We were met by Lilo outside the gates of our port. When we arrived at the waterfalls Lilo made sure we were set with our guide and paparazzi. The waterfalls were amazing. We slid down three falls and one jump. I almost chickened out at the jump but was so glad I did it.
The hike is strenuous so be sure you are ready for a 45 minute uphill hike. This is truly a once in a lifetime adventure and I would highly recommend it. When we returned, Lilo was waiting for us. We made it back to the dock with lots of time to spare. Loved it!

Reliable, friendly and fun! - The staff were very knowledgeable and friendly, the pickup process was smooth at the port although our ship was late. The car was very comfortable and had good wifi which was a bonus. The included water and soft drinks were also nice and cold.
We drove about 35 minutes to the falls and then we joined a larger group of about 35-40 people. We hiked about 45 minutes to the falls at a slow pace with sitting breaks which made it really easy. Then we slid down 3 waterfalls and floated in the water which was lots of fun. We could only do 3 as there hadn’t been enough rain recently.
When we got back our guide Mara was waiting for us and took us to the car then drove us to a plantation where a guide gave us a tour and demonstrations with the local fruit and a nice fresh free cocoa and mamahuaya tasting. This was all included and we were not pressured to tip or buy anything, only to look.
We loved the tour and would definitely book with this company again.

Fun way to spend the day! - My Family and I were picked up at 9:30 local time right outside the Amber Cove cruise port. We had so much fun on this excursion and had a great guide that took some awesome pictures. We were dropped off with plenty of time to explore the port before getting back on the boat. I would definitely do this excursion again.

10/10 recommend! - Awesome guides, fantastic excursion! The falls were unbelievable. Not too hard of a hike- so worth it! 10/10 recommend.
I was worried booking outside the cruise ship, but, this was perfect way to do it. They got us to the falls early, so we didn’t have to fight crowds, and back to the port in plenty of time to shop.

WF great, BUT no real tour, and be aware of tourist trap to spend money at fake plantation! - So the actual location is great, lots of fun. But the tour itself disappointing. They do nothing but drive us to the waterfall, no talking. When we get to the fall locations, we are offered photographer which we did and was great. Tour guide at waterfall geat, gave both the photographer and tour people nice tip. Went to buy souvenier at WF, and was told not to, taking us to another place. Still I bought some at WF itself. The tour went to a "plantation" it was NOT, just few plants in ground, sample gross coffee and hot coco, watch roll cigars, all wanting tips. Then to their own gift shop. yes I did buy some things there, felt obligated even. But CLEARLY the purpose of DSRR is to take you here to spend money!!!! Warning, huge tourist trap. Gave small tip to the person who wasn't driving the tour bus, as she did nothing.

Challenging excursion! Need Waterfall Slide Procedures Answered!! - This is an ambitious excursion especially for Seniors. I don't think the description adequately describes what is involved including potential dangers without full explanations to sliding procedures when questions were posed. First off the 35 to 40 minute hike to the Waterfall slides is uphill on an uneven mountain path followed by a downhill walk with stairs and sets of vertical ladders. Doable with rest stops and helpful if not saying 5 more minutes. Our guides were not fluent in English so our questions were often answered incompletely or in error. For example: "Will my knee hit the rock wall that I am aimed towards". (Finger shake no, but without a description on how the water will actually propel you with a curve down the rock. Scary not fully knowing this as I was sitting facing the rock face then pushed). "After the 3 slides how do we get back to the car park? Raft? Inner tube float?" ("Yes!" But no, it was not. Instead we walked a very rocky river bed in our soft water shoes! Ouch). There were 3 slides. We did 2 chutes, but opted on the 3rd not to jump into the pool from a platform nor slide the long final rock sluice. Instead we climbed down a ladder backwards into the big pool. We enjoyed the swim! Good news is that we were promptly picked up from the cruise port entrance which is a ways walk from the ship--so watch the time. We assumed that the young man in the car with the driver was our guide. Instead he was mostly interested in taking photos and trying to chat to "mommie" and "poppy" with average English skills. The guide from the park was pleasant, but again could not answer questions. We never found out what the Amber Cove was. Post sliding we were offered trips by our driver: The Plantation, Cigar or Chocolate Factory, but again could not get enough information as to what and where so asked to directly return to the ship. We did purchase the photo package of 335 photos and 4 videos. We kept maybe 20 photos and 2 videos and deleted the others which were poor quality in our opinion. We were relieved to return the ship unscathed! The extreme experience was a thrill looking back, but there was a lot of anxiety along the way.
