Would recommend 10/10 - We had a wonderful experience. The driver Matteo, and the guide Emmanuel were great. They were so friendly and fun. The island was breathtaking and we saw so many fish while snorkeling. Lunch was delicious, we all loved the chicken. Not to mention that the beer and rum were flowing!

Wonderful but you should know a few things - Be prepared for a few things:
It is a 3 hour bus ride with a transfer from both Sosua and almost 4 fromCabarete. 2 each way from Puerta Playa . Not that it’s a big deal but you don’t get the phone covers Viator describes. Your pick up time will be around 7 am and drop off at 7pm. There is one bathroom stop on the way there and one the way back. It’s a souvenir shop where upstairs you will later have lunch. So about 4 hours after pick up and about 4 hours after that is your next actual stop are your bathroom opportunities. Ladies, this was a concern for me the entire time. Certain things you can’t do in the ocean, that you can’t hold. The bus, the boat nor the island has a bathroom.
Ok, I did 4 water excursions from Sosua and even with all that it was by FAR the best. The main tour bus is really nice with AC. It takes long to get there and there but it is worth it. Speeding on the speed boat through the Mangroves like a race track was amazing and the island is absolutely wonderful. They put out fruit and rum then eat later at that shop. The water and the experience of a tiny sand island in the middle of the ocean just doesn’t do it justice without going. According to people that have gone before, it is shrinking so go NOW. Not great food but I think I just don’t like Dominican food. Again, I would book it again, I just wish I would have known all this before. So cheers to you guys if you actually read reviews.

Swimming with the fishes. - The staff was exceptional. Friendly safe measures in place. Boat ride safe. Plus size friendly life vests to accommodate the larger person. The thrilling boat ride thru the mangroves. Especially enjoyed the pointing out and identification of the very active wildlife. The weather was spot on. I enjoyed that the staff had food available to entice the fish to our area for snorkeling. Lots of different fish. Very active and present. This adventure was truly enjoyable.

Excellent experience - Excellent experience, the island very beautiful, everything was very good, in time and form. It was a long journey but it was worth getting to the place.

A must do tour in DR. - We had the BEST time on this trip! We are so glad that we booked it. Alexander and Kelvin were our knowledgeable guides for the day, and they made sure the entire family had fun. Paradise Island was gorgeous and it was one of the best snorkeling tours we have done in the Caribbean! The mangrove tour was a hit with our kids! We had so much fun we hated to leave! If your are on a cruise, don’t be afraid to book this trip. They were very contentious about the time we needed to be back at port and maximized the time we had on the tour. Thank you DR Prime Tours for such a wonderful day!!

an experience of a lifetime - We ran into Alfonso who sold us this tour for much less than what the resort was charging. William came to greet us the next morning personally to ensure we got in the correct transportation. The experience at this island was amazing! Water was so clear and relaxing. The sand was pure white. They fed us delicious fruit and alcoholic beverages at the beach and a full course meal on the way back to resort. I didn’t have peso’s to pay for dinner or transportation, William allowed me to send him the amount through PayPal and he paid with peso’s. William was very friendly and helpful. I left my shoes on the bus, William met me the next day and brought them to me. If I’m ever back in town, I’m going to use DR PRIME TOURS and I highly recommend them to everyone

Beautiful day - too many people. - Mendy was fabulous! A great tour guide - very knowledgeable and knew 4 languages!! I was a little upset about the amount of people as the listing stated the group size was 18 but we had almost 50 people on the bus. There were around 200 people on the island as well, which I wasn’t expecting. The listing stated that waterproof cases were included but I had to pay $6 when I got there - that was annoying. The food at the restaurant was delicious and the hosts were incredibly friendly. Overall a great day, just not ever as expected as per the listing.

IAwesome full day experience. Highly recommended!!! - Awesome full day adventure. This one really relies on great weather which we had. The tour bus was comfortable (it is about a two hour ride on rough back roads), and the guide was good and spoke several languages. Once you get to the beach you embark on a 15 minute speedboat ride. The closer you are to the motor the more stable the ride. We hit several waves and the people on the front were thrown around. If you have a back issue. Be aware!!!!! Once you are on the island the snorkelling is incredible. Numerous varieties of fish and lots of opportunities for amazing photos. Make sure to take a waterproof bag for your camera. They DO NOT supply them. After snorkeling, we got back in the boat for an amazing and exhilarating tour of the mangroves. So much fun Too bad it didnt last longer. We loved it and our captain was amazing!! After leaving the beach, we stopped for lunch. I’m a picky eater and I found something to eat. Everyone said it was really good. Then on the way back we stopped at a tourist trap souvenir market. It was very over rated and $$$$. I would suggest purchasing small souvenirs where we stopped for lunch. The were reasonably priced but the selection was minimal. We ended our day where we began,,,, back at our resort. Happy, tired but full of amazing memories.

Gorgeous views - I would of given this tour 5 stars but the only reason why I'm not is cuz they didn't have enough snorkel gear for everyone and most of the gear was broken or missing pieces. The water is so blue it's beautiful could see the jellyfish swimming around so cool! Lots of amazing fish! Unfortunately the waterproof case they gave me broke so I couldn't take any underwater pics but they had a photographer who def had his favorite people. Def bring sunscreen and a towel maybe a brush for ur hair lol but other than that great time! Lastly says 8 hours approx. it's def not more closer to 10-11.

Required extra payment, did not speak or understand English, and did not complete the entire tour - We received a survey immediately upon booking, indicating the ages of the people traveling, cruise ship that we were on, pickup / drop off location, and times. The booking was confirmed as "accepted" by the tour company almost immediately.
However, a couple of days prior to the tour, the company called me several times to change the date in me. They also indicated they were unaware of the ages of the children or that we needed to be picked up and dropped off at the cruise port. These items were very clearly indicated at time of reservation and accepted in writing by the tour company well ahead of time. After going back over the details again, they confirmed the plans.
When they picked us up, they required an extra $300 and refused to take us without the money. We had no choice but to pay or lose out on the tour AND the money we had already prepaid in full.
It gets worse. We were not provided with a tour as indicated in the listing. This is simply a long van ride, then a boat ride to a very nice island. They did provide some drinks and lunch, then another van ride back.
No narrated tour was provided, nor were any English speaking guides.
