You should do this tour if you love adventure. Puerto Plata with its charms invites you to experience the 7 waterfalls of Damajagua (Charcos), discovered just a few years ago and submerged in the beautiful hills of the northern mountain range, this natural monument is part of the system of protected areas of the Dominican Republic. 7 Waterfalls is hidden up in a tropical canyon is a string of waterfalls that you can hike to and slide down, swim under, and jump off on your way back down Jump, swim, and slide down natural waterslides.
Buffet , lunch, Water, coke , equipment, and round-trip transportation from the cruise terminal are included. Note: 27waterfalls are close for the moment because don’t have a lot water We are just doing 7waterfalls excursion.
- Minimum age 8. Children 8-17 must be accompanied by an adult
- It is recommended that you wear an old pair of running shoes, swimwear and a towel. We recommend women wear shorts over their bathing suits.
- Professional guides going with you to the waterfall he wait for us in the waterfall.
- Due to uneven surfaces, this tour is not recommended for those with walking disabilities and not possible for wheelchair users

Amazing tour of the mountain. And the river slides is added bonus. - Lovely hike. At your own pace. Beautiful mountain ranges and clear vistas. Prepare for some stairs. But all manageable. And lots of pocture opportunities. Be open to step out if your comfort zone. If your guide is super skilled. Also lots of photographs and VIDEOS!!@! along the way

Great family experience beginning to end - The staff was wonderful. All the way from the lady who walked us to the bus through the photographer, waterfall guides and lifeguards. Wonderful experience. The photos were well worth the extra expense. Lunch food was delicious with good variety.

What an amazing experience! - Everything was amazing! Our guide was top notch, they went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing time and took tons of great pictures. A must do and they were great, can't say enough great things. Would recommend to anyone.

Beautiful clear water and friendly staff - Great communication and friendly staff. The waterfall was amazing, just be ready to walk a lot, but it’s worth it. Food was so delicious

Wonderful Excursion with added bonuses - Super nice excursion crew. Only thing I would change was more jumps or slides but since it’s all natural you can’t really do that. Cheaper than Carnival and you get a delicious lunch included with your excursion. You also stop by a local souvenir shop after that had hand rolled cigars and much more for those that smoke cigars. $60 for the pictures is definitely worth it also.

I will not use another tour company! Second time in less than a year. Perfect Day. - We had an amazing time once again. This is our second time using Exceptcust DSRR tours in less than a year. It is one of my favorite excursions. We were given exceptional customer service from Rosario and his crew. As soon as we went outside the port, they were ready for us. Their nice new bus fit all 23 of us. We had teenagers, parents and grandparents with us. Some were concerned about the hike up but they assured us we would be going at our own pace and we had no issues! As soon as we got back to the beginning, there was a local Dominican meal waiting for us. Our next stop included a local store with a tour of trees that are native to the area. The kids were shown how local fruit, coffee and chocolate are grown. We arrived safely to the port with several hours to enjoy the shopping at the port. When you use this local company, you are not only saving money from the cruise ship prices but you are providing economy to the locals who need it the most. Our other friends had opted for the cruise excursion and wish they had come with us!! Thank you Mara, Rosario and Miguel for the tour of the area and for being so helpful to our friends and family!!! The pictures that the "paparazzi" took were so good! We are so glad we purchased them on this trip! Please note: You should be able to walk up stairs and hike moderately. You do not need to know how to swim since you will be wearing lifejackets and helmets.

Worth it, gorgeous landscape, friendly guides - Such a great outing! Rosario was all about taking care of us and sharing information about the Dominican Republic. We were so glad we booked directly with a local company rather than through the cruise line. Because of that, we were a small group and got to the waterfalls first and had a really enjoyable time. After, we could see huge groups queueing up and it seemed like it would be a much different experience to do the hike and falls with dozens and dozens of people. (Our group was just 5).
It was well worth it!

Do it! - This was so much fun, it really was one of the highlights of our cruise and recommend to anyone! The food at the end of the trip was authentic and incredible! Our guides were fun and we got great pictures out of it!

Excellent adventure! - This trip is exactly as described in review by Stacie V. If you want to know what to expect from beginning to end, read her review from October 2024! We had an excellent time, the vehicle was comfortable despite bumpy roads. I’m not a particularly “fit” traveler, but the guides on the trail looked out for me. The group only made it to 1 waterfall and that was ok for me. Hubby was super happy to ride the slide while I relaxed in the cool pool below. Very nice excursion from cruise ship. Thank you DSSR!

DSRR is the best - This is an exceptional business, owned and operated by Rosario and his family. They clearly take a lot of pride in providing a great experience. The service and overall experience was fantastic with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Our waterfall tour was cancelled because it closed due to heavy rains and Rosario was happy to offer a refund or another tour. We chose to take the city tour which was really interesting and it ended with a fantastic lunch on the beach. I would highly recommend booking directly with the company rather than through the cruise ships which add a huge premium to the price. Book with this company, you won’t be disappointed.
