After a few Minutes of trails we ride to get Bergantin Beach where you will spend most of the time riding along and after an hour and a half, we let the horses take some rest.

This is a 3-hour activity around the mountain or beach. Your tour will start with pickup from your hotel or Cruise Port Terminal by our transportation . After a short drive you will arrive at the ranch where the horses are waiting already saddled up. Our horses are well-cared for and well-fed but most of all the staff truly loves each one of them. You will be with our experienced guides and trained horses through beautiful tropical fauna and you will have an unforgettable morning.

Horseback Riding - Great staff well behaved horses, beautiful beach view. Trouble with pictures, but all worked out. Samuel and Antonio kept in contact till it was resolved.

Detailed experience of horseback riding - I decided to lookup something other than a ship excursion. I booked the horseback riding and went with Hanz (sorry if misspelled!) There was only one frustrating part so I’ll address that first. I had a hard time finding the driver. I went outside of port, past the solar panels, past the last white gate, and walked alllllll the way down the main road to the left. I had to turn on my cell service to locate the driver. I was in his personal car and it was just us. He didn’t speak English but was nice. He dropped me off to Hanz. I admit all of it did look sketchy and you do have to be smart in the DR. If I hadn’t booked through this reliable website and saw other great reviews I wouldn’t have done it. But I had an absolutely GREAT time on my trip! It was just myself and Hanz- no group. The best part was it wasn’t “follow the leader” style like most excursions. It is still totally fine if you’re a beginner but he let me ride naturally, go at my own pace and even do some racing. I’d say the entire excursion was about 3 hours with 1.5 hours on horseback. We started in the woods then spent time at the beach. Stopped about halfway for a 30min break or so where you could get drinks and eat. He took videos of me and photos and didn’t charge, so I added extra tip. We were vibing listening to some music on our phones and singing. Honestly I had a great time. Thanks so much!

An experience I will never forget! - This was so much fun! What’s an amazing experience! I got there and got to pick out my horse, before we set out on this beautiful trip on a path that lead out to the beach!

Come for the horses, stay for the views! - We had a great time with this horseback riding experience! Very easy to reschedule as our cruise ship arrived a different day than expected. Communication was prompt and efficient and the views were beautiful.

Highlight of my visit to DR - This was the highlight of my pleasant, though brief, visit to Puerto Plata on a cruise. I was so scared to get on the horse because I've never ridden a horse before, but our tour guides made us feel comfortable with their steady assurances that we would be fine and their simple instructions. We rode for about 20 mins until we came to the beautiful beachside, where our guide took photos of us. I am really proud of myself for learning a new skill. I would highly recommend this tour, even if you are having hesitations about your ability. This was really fun & peaceful.

Great Experience! - This was my favorite activity on this visit to the DR. The horse riding on the beach was the best. We are novice horse riders but they gave us the chance to trot on the beach which was a lot of fun and gave us lasting memories!

Good time - We enjoyed the horseback riding. The staff were very friendly and nice to talk to. The only thing I would do differently next time is have the photographer use my iPhone to take pictures instead of the camera.

Amazing Excursion - We had a GREAT experience! It was my family’s and I first time riding horses and I truly admit we were all pretty nervous. They paired us with the perfect horses that met our experience levels and everything went PERFECT! We went through the forest then ended up at a beautiful beachfront where we got to relax,have lunch , take a dip and take pictures. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND booking an excursion with ANTHONYINFOTOURS!! No issues and no complaints from us …

Amazing Experience!! - This was the most amazing experience I have had in a long time. I was not sure at first as there was a lot of mud, but we got to the beach and it was so amazing. I loved that we were the only ones on the tour and not with a large group. We could ask questions from our tour guide who was also amazing. I will be back with more of my family as soon as I can so they can also experience. I normally don’t do reviews but this was worth the effort and every penny we spent on it.

Maybe try another - We decided to book a separate excursion from our ship and found Anthonyinfotours. Not sure about the pictures people put up or if they have many other groups but our trip did not look like this. We arrived to be picked up in a vehicle with a cracked windshield, not a great representation of a reputable company - old and didn't start on first tries...Arriving at location of horses was sketchy. I did read other reviews and thought they were being picky, but actually they were right. It was they raining season, large ponds of water were on the trail we took to the beach not a problem, the horses did a great job of knowing where to go and were well trained - Paparazzi walked along (and ran) to get pictures, which they try to sell. You need Whatzup to have them sent to you - they were phone pictures - you can get your own shots while you are walking because Jerry will not let you gallop or trot. We arrived at the beach and they could just do so much more to upgrade our experience - clean up the beach.
The trip was just ok. We had set our expectations low and they accommodated.
