Milton is the best! Take this tour! - Milton was the best guide ever! He knew all the best places to go and the best part was he knew the schedules of the big tour buses so he got us to the attractions when there was no crowds. Milton is very knowledgeable, polite, accommodating, friendly, and speaks excellent English.

Couldn’t recommend more! - We decided to book this sort of last minute and we’re so glad we did. The two of us just wanted a low key informational tour of key monuments in the city and we got that and so much more! We cannot praise our guide Milton enough- so friendly and knowledgeable we felt so lucky. He even taught us about the plants, flowers, and trees which was such a lovely unexpected bonus! We mostly beat the crowds too which made everything that much more enjoyable for us. Milton’s facts, conversation (with perfect English) and company made this better than we could’ve ever hoped for. Thank you for making this tour so memorable, Milton!

Puerta Plata with Milton The Super Guide! - Our guide was Milton and he was the best!! He gave us a very personalized tour and was able to use his connections to get us into places other guides might not be able to. He was very knowledgeable and very friendly. We have even stayed in touch after returning home! We can't say enough great things about him and the wonderful tour experience we had. We all highly recommend him.

Milton for the win! Great host for our tour - We had an amazing private tour with our new friend Milton! We originally were going to be the only ship in port but they switched our itinerary to another day so ended up being one of three in port. We started out by going to the cable car up the mountain but when we arrived, it was a 2 hr wait so Milton said let's do the city tour first and then come back. Good call Milton! We visited the pink street, umbrella street, an amber museum, chocolate factory, a church, drove the coastline and saw a statue of Neptune and then when we got back to the cable car it was no wait at all! And so glad we saved the best for last. It was beautiful views and Milton was very knowledgeable of all the plants and trees and history of the area. He was very personable, professional and courteous. We also stopped at a locals restaurant and had some great plantains, rice and beans and pork. It was a bit difficult to find him at the port but we had the number that the info desk was able to call and guide us. We'd definately recommend!

Puerto Plata - What a great way to get to see and learn about Puerto Plata. Our guide, Milton, was very knowledgeable and wonderful to work with. He took us to a local restaurant where we enjoyed an authentic Dominican lunch and made sure that we got to see everything. I would highly recommend this tour.

Did not match the advertised experience. - Beware! After a VERY LONG walk to get outside the port gates we did not have any directions or a number to contact to meet our guide, a tourism official finally figured out who to contact. We booked this tour for two reasons (cable car and specialized tour) and neither one happened. First there was no cable car ride. It was shut down two weeks before we booked (for 12-18 months) and this was still in the first half of the itinerary as described on Viator. The second reason we booked was because every review describes a wonderful experience with Milton. Our guide was very nice, but we got very little history and we were just led to one shop after another (not really museums). We did see the colorful streets and paid to have pictures with birds and a monkey. Then we were driven up and down residential neighborhoods before taken for a long lunch on our dime (pretty view of the sea) driven by the fort (did not get to stop) and back for the long walk back to the port. If we knew the cable car was not in operation and we not asked what we wanted to experience we would have chosen the cheaper generic city tour.
