Super fun! - Wow! Best excursion ever. But read the description. This involves a pretty long hike and going uphill. It's enough to make anyone a bit winded. The helmet is real because I bumped my head on one of the slides and my husband bumped his coming up out of the water. You will be swimming so careful with your phone (you need a full on water bag). The ziplines are great. The canyon is beautiful. The water slides are amazing. Best we've ever done. This is a fantastic excursion. Don't bring your elderly parent or your whiny kid because this is legit work but so amazingly fun. And the food at the end was really, really good. If you're physically active and the adventurous type, this is the excursion to do.

Best Excursion in Amber Cove - This was by far the best excursion we did while on our cruise. Chocolate was such an amazing guide. He told us all about the Dominican Republic way of life and culture. He took amazing pictures and made sure we had an absolute blast. We were able to pass all the groups that booked through the cruise line and find out more about the native plants and trees while we hiked to our ziplines. We visited a place where they grow coffee, pineapples, chocolate and tobacco and met a lot of the local people. Jason was such an amazing driver. He got us to our destination safely and quickly. I would 100% recommend this to anyone visiting Dominican Republic and I will always request Chocolate in the future if we do this again.

Super Action Tour in Amber Cove - Super trip, we were picked up by a taxi and well looked after, as there were only 2 of us we could enjoy all the attractions in peace before the onslaught of the visitors, then we went to an Oranic farm where we were educated by the owner about trees and plants in German Conclusion: Recommendation!!

Loved it! - Not for the weak, long climb into the forest uphill. But I would do this again for sure! But the guides really took the time out to help the older folks go up, so the old folks could enjoy it as well, very sweet! Lives our guide Anthony and the driver as well, very sweet and a great driver! Thank you for some great memories made with my husband and friends!

Amazing Tour – Highly Recommend! - Amazing Tour – Highly Recommend! While on a cruise, we decided to skip the overpriced excursions and stumbled upon this gem of a tour—it was worth every penny! From start to finish, it was an incredible experience. We were promptly picked up by a comfortable van at the cruise port. Our driver, William, and tour guide (and paparazzi!), Jonathan, made the day unforgettable. Their energy, professionalism, and knowledge of the area were top-notch. Definitely request them if you can! The tour begins with a short drive where you get a glimpse of the island’s beauty. Once we arrived, we were equipped with life vests and helmets for the adventure. A word of advice: wear sturdy hiking or water shoes. The uphill hike to the zip lines is rocky and somewhat strenuous. My basic water shoes worked, but harder soles would have made it much easier. At the top, we received a thorough safety briefing and were strapped into our zip-lining gear. The staff was incredibly attentive, spoke English fluently, and ensured everyone felt safe. Jonathan, our "paparazzi," followed us throughout the day, capturing fantastic photos and videos. After an exhilarating zipline experience, we made our way to the waterfalls. The crystal-clear water was breathtaking (and cold!). You’re guided down natural slides and even have the option to jump into the pools. My husband doesn’t swim, but the guides were incredibly patient and attentive, assisting him every step of the way. I truly appreciated their kindness and focus on safety. Once we finished, we hiked back to the main area, where a delicious buffet lunch awaited us. The spread included rice and beans, fried fish, chicken, pasta, potato salad, and avocado. As someone who loves cooking, I have to say—the beans were amazing, even better than my own! After lunch, we visited a plantation to see how coffee is made, cigars are rolled, and we even sampled Dominican mamajuana. They offered free cigar samples and shots, and we had time to browse their store without feeling rushed or pressured to buy anything. The day wrapped up with a scenic tour of Puerto Plata’s highlights before we were dropped off at the cruise port, well before our departure time. At the end of the tour, you’re given the option to purchase photos and videos from Jonathan. The link was sent to us within 24-36 hours and was worth every penny—over 100 pictures and an amazing video with music, perfectly capturing the day. A few tips for anyone considering this tour: 1. Wear sturdy hiking or water shoes. 2. Bring cash or have access to Apple Pay or PayPal for tips and purchases. 3. Come ready to have a great time! Overall, this experience far exceeded our expectations. Huge thanks to William and Jonathan for making this an adventure we’ll never forget. We can’t wait to share the incredible photos and videos with our family and friends!

Best thing in Dominic Republic worth the Money - This is a fabulous excursion it has it all. They pick you up from the cruise ship. They take you on a lovely hike to the waterfalls, you do 5 zip lines, you slide down rocks, jump in water while they take video and pictures of your whole group for a reasonable price. The pictures and videos are great memories to look back at. They also are extremely courteous and safety is their number 1 concern. They help you out and lend a hand through rough spots. Afterwards they give you a yummy lunch, take you to a plantation and explain how coffee and cigars are made. Give you a shot of rum and let you explore a shop for souvenirs. On way back to cruise ship they take you around the neighborhood to show you pink street and umbrella street. Definitely well worth the money. It was our favorite excursion of the trip.

Book this excursion! You will not be disappointed - This excursion was fabulous! We were picked up outside the port by a luxury van and were offered water. William drove us to the destination while talking about Dominican culture. When we arrived, there was a large crowd of cruise people all getting ready to head out on the waterfall tour. We were the only two passengers doing the ziplining and waterfall tour. We set out on the very challenging hike with Jonathan (the photographer) and several staff from the zip and dip. William stayed back with the van and our belongings. The hike up to the zip lines was no joke. About 1 hr and 15 minutes. The guides were so patient and entertaining and offered several breaks on the way up. Jonathan took several photos along the way. When we reached the top, the hike was worth the reward! The zips were exhilarating, and we felt safe at all times. The crew was very attentive, and provided clear instructions. Now it was time for the waterfalls! Our group joined up with the group only doing the waterfalls and was put ahead of the other tourists, which was nice. Jonathan went ahead of us, and photographed my husband and I on each of the waterfalls, and while walking through the water. The water was cold, but felt amazing after the hike. After the waterfalls, we had a short hike back to the base. We were then offered a beverage of our choice as we rode to the cigar and chocolate plantation. It was informational and the people were very kind. From there we went to a local restaurant that fed us a delicious authentic Dominican lunch. We then headed toward the city of Puerta Plata. William shared information about the city and his country while we watched motorcycles zoom in and out of traffic. This excursion was one of the best we have had in the Caribbean. Both William and Jonathan were so attentive to our needs and worked to give us the best experience possible. We bought the photo package for $90, which we thought was a good deal considering the number of photos Jonathan took. We have not received the photos yet, but he did warn us it could take a couple of days. We would definitely book this excursion again! Thank you William and Jonathan.
