William and Anthony were... - William and Anthony were wonderful. Pickup was right on time and the entire trip was seamless. Anthony stayed with us the entire trip to take photos of the experience. It is a strenuous hike up to the zip lines but well worth it. The waterfalls were amazing. Our entire group has a blast.

Book them NOW! - The walk from the Amber Cove dock to the street is about 15 minutes. It's so beautiful there, you don't mind! Our guides William & Tony were easy to find and quickly ushered into an air conditioned van. They gave us free waters and talked about their island as they drove us to Damajhangua park for the excursion. We were given helmets and life vests, and off we went! (No pones needed. They take hundreds of photos and videos that you can buy at the end for pretty cheap!) The hike Is about 45 mins of vertical terrain up a mountain into the jungle. I realized I need to hit the gym more, but I made it lol. They stop for breaks as needed. Once to the top, we got to zipline through 5 sets of lines. The staff is funny, knowledgeable, assisting, and VERY kind. They ensure everyone is safety at all times, which is important bc we have an 8 year old. He LOVED it. So don't be afraid to let younger kids participate! We went down 3 waterfall slides after the zips. You will feel like you got dropped into a dunk tank, lol. But you'll float back the top fast. They're always waiting to quickly guide you back toward the shallow side after the slide. This was an adrenaline rush! So pinch your nose, cross your arms, and get ready because the water is COLD! Lastly, you can jump off a cliff (about 12-15ft high) into the river below. You can also slide down or take the ladder. There's an option for thrill seekers of all levels. The walk is MUDDYYYYYY. So expect to get filthy walking up and back. It's very rocky also, so wear a GOOD sole water shoe. BE sure they're TIGHT. Several people lost a shoe on the falls. Afterwards, we ate an AMAZING Dominican lunch right at the end of the course (which was great because we were hungry! And you have to be back to the ship by 4pm ship time!) They had yummy chicken, rice, tomatoes and cucumber salad (the vinegarette salsa had me want to take a Togo box!) And a few other taste options. Water and a soda are included. On the way back to the ship, they offer to take you to a monkey sanctuary, sample Dominican chocolate, and do some local shopping. William and Tony were the BEST. So patient and didn't mind us asking a million questions. Unfortunately, our card wouldn't allow an international transaction, so we couldn't pay too see the money's. Bring cash to avoid this obstacle! They had us back in plenty of time to comfortably walk back to our ship. They even dropped us off.closer than we had to walk to meet them. Bottom line:BOOK THEM. More affordable than the same tour through carnivals AND you get a private escorts to the excursions! No buses and trams! I'd do it all over again!

The guide and photographer (DO NOT SKIP THE PHOTO PKG) we’re great, and really took care of our group. Thank you Jonathan and Fernando for the best excursion of our entire trip! Great Company! - We actually did not get to take this experience because our cruise ship was not able to port that day. However, the excursion company immediately said they would give us a refund and did so within a couple of days. I was so worried we were out the money but they were super helpful and friendly. We will make it to DR one of these days and we will definitely book with this company again!

Fun, but longer than expected/hoped. - People operating the excursion are friendly and professional. Overall, a good experience and worthwhile. A couple of cautions: The duration states 4 hours. However, depending on your port location and the need to wait for other travelers, there can be delays. There can also be delays at the beginning of the zipline (we waited over an hour). Additionally, the tobacco/chocolate tour at the end added an hour. Overall, our trip was 7 hours, not 4 hrs. This prevented time for shopping and exploring Puerta Plata. Plan accordingly. Also, be aware that waterfall ability is highly dependant on weather/rain and subject to change.

Wouldn't recommend it. - Instead of sending small groups one at a time throughout the day, they had all of the people trek up the hill at the same time for 40 minutes where we then waited an hour behind the 100 others until we finally had our chance to zipline. Then we were all herded down a stream through a narrow gorge at a snail's pace because of the number of people trying to get through the bottleneck. Then we had to hurry back down the rocky hillside because this ordeal had taken almost 5 hours at this point in time and others in our tour group had to catch their cruise ship so we were unable to even eat the lunch they were supposed to provide us at the end. Then during the ride back we were told we owed $90 for the photos and video they took of us, which we hesitantly paid, and were told we would receive them via email within 24 - 36 hours but of course never did even after I sent two emails asking about them. And we have no photos of our own because the phones were left behind so they wouldn't get wet. So while the ziplining was enjoyable and the gorge quite beautiful, all in all a very unpleasant experience.

Beautiful place disappointing experience because of the guides. - When we arrived at the entrance to 27 damajaguas, we were given lifejackets that smelled like a sweaty fat man was hugging you and wouldn't let go. These things are offensive and seriously need to be washed between wears as they as being worn through long strenuous hikes. We were the first tour of the day 7:30 am guide picked us up at 8:45. We paid $50 USD for photos at the end of the excursion and haven't received them after asking for them multiple times. (Its a damn email or WhatsApp message just send it)This after being made to leave our phones etc. in the van. I had bought a dry bag specifically to take my own photos. And the guides made us leave our bag. The tour guide Johnathan was taking photos through the whole excursion and then selling them to us at an exuberant rate which I can see as being helpful if I had received the photos I paid $50 for. I would like the photos. Another thing is there is no plantation... It is a hole in the wall and a small yard with 5 baby trees and a gift shop that is trying to rip people off. We weren't shown any trees with cacao or any fields of tobacco or coffee they were selling trinkets $185 for a bracelet and $275 for a necklace of tumbled beads. Well I'm not buying that and neither was anyone else we were with. the worst part about it is that our driver tried to divert us from buying keepsakes from the fairly priced vendors at the falls beforehand. Telling us that the prices would be better at the gift shop at the plantation. Everyone would make more money if it was priced more appropriately. Tourists want to buy stuff, but we don't have to. Thankfully I got a necklace at the falls for $20. And some Crocs for my daughter for 15$. Before heading to the tourist trap plantation. She loves the shoes I love the necklace. Lunch was ok. Buffet style lunch with rice beans salad veg and pork or chicken. There was also hot dogs I didn't try them though. The driver was crazy honking at everyone needlessly as if he liked the sound of the horn and the tour guides rushed us through the excursion so much that there was hardly time to look at the scenery. This is so different from the other adventures we have been on as the guides were just not really caring about our enjoyment in this excursion. We were a group of two with another group of 5 so very small. Then not sending the photos is unforgivable as I likely will not have the chance to do this hike again. I talked to the guides and they said we were their only tour of the day so why rush us through so we couldn't enjoy it. Why try and dupe us into paying more for trinkets. Why take the photos and not send them... It's just unkind and unprofessional. This tour could have been amazing if our guides were wanting to take the time to point out some natural formations or wildlife to us, would have sent the photos they took or let us bring our own cameras, would have shared with us the truly best place to get souvenirs and drove safely. I think there needs to be some retraining for staff. There is so much to enjoy about this place, but the guides really failed us. Communication was also poor for pickup time. We have to plan everything for travel and leaving pickup time till a few minutes beforehand is irresponsible, annoying and causes a lot of anxiety.

Operator has BAD communication - should of let us know a day BEFORE if we wanted to change due to weather. We brought EVERYTHING that we need for the excursion with us to learn that we can't do it due to weather.
