Must see - Our tour guide was so knowledgeable and kind. All the bioluminescence from the fireflies to the plankton was very cool. Dinner was great!

A Magical Evening with Weng and RV: An Unforgettable Experience - We had an unforgettable evening thanks to our guide Weng and our RV driver. They were punctual and very professional. Weng shared a wealth of fascinating information about fireflies with us, details I wouldn't have found anywhere else. Their sympathy and kindness made the experience very pleasant, and time passed without me realizing it. The absence of moonlight that night magnified our observation of fireflies. The spectacle of these little creatures dancing in the air, in total calm, was magical. It was a moment of pure serenity that will remain engraved in my memory. A huge thank you to Weng and RV for this extraordinary experience. I will definitely book with them for other activities. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a unique and memorable experience.

At first we didn't see... - At first we didn't see any Kitu Kito ( fire flies) the the captain of the boat explain sometimes the flies are still. Then the captain sprinkled some water on the leaves and the flies gave us the most beautiful show Thank you so much for an excellent adventure

Fireflies and bioluminescent plankton - Well the fireflies were great, the tour guide was great, the dark still night air was great, and even faster that they didn’t mention is the super cool bioluminescent water. As we were paddling or moving our hand in the water, it glows bright blue.

Light in the dark. - This was really cute . My Pinoy partner relived his childhood when he was catching fire flies in the river . The food was great and we really enjoyed going through the mangroves by night. For me the first time to have a fire fly in my hand. It is magic and reminds me of the Pater Pan story . Go do the tour.

Good, not great - The fireflies were interesting but after about 5 minutes, I had seen enough. Some of the other guests were really amazed so I just might be easily bored 😁 The food was good and there was plenty of it. I have no complaints, it just wasn't a thrilling tour.

Set you expectations - The potential is immense but expectations need to be managed. Fact is and that has nothing to do with the organisers, you may see no fireflies - but the boat ride in pitch darkness is still nice. Try and avoid full moon nights - is what I was told!

Not worth the drive and waiting around - Very disorganised tour. We were told we would be back at the hostel by 2130 but it ended up being 2320. The actual experience lasted about 30 minutes and was pleasant but not worth the wait. From the way the surroundings are decorated with so many lanterns and how much it was bigged up, we thought there would be a lot more fireflies. We were also told we would hold a firefly but then nothing came of that either. Positives - the tour guide was nice, restaurant was really pretty and the actual experience was okay. I feel that kids who have never seen fireflies would really enjoy it though as long as you get lucky with the timings. I feel that the expectations could have been laid out better and it shouldn't have been made out to be really amazing as it was only okay.

Watching the fireflies from the boat was very nice. However, the overall evening experience was disappointing. - Watching the fireflies from the boat was very nice. However, the overall evening experience was disappointing. The two of us were added to a group of 7 others (9 in total) and we've been brought to a buffet restaurant in the city centre of Puerto Princesa to have dinner. This is not what was advertised and we had not been informed of the change. We regretted we did not go for dinner by ourselves for better value for money and experience. Also, the first place did not have any vegetarian food available (despite the fact that I sent multiple reminders to the organisers) so the group had to move to another location for the vegans and vegetarians of the group to eat. The car ride is a bit long, about 45 min each way for only 35 min on the boat. To conclude, I would advise you to reach the Fireflies place by yourself (worth it! And great to support the conservation of the area) and maybe take the opportunity to discover the North of Puerto Princesa by yourself instead of this group tour which does not add any value to your evening experience.
