Lots of patience is the key - Pick up was at 7am from the hotel. It was a shared tour so have to pick up other guests as well. From pick up point it took about 2hours to get to the port where you’ll have to wait for about 2-3 hours to get into the motorized boat to bring us to the mountain entrance. Boat ride was about 20mins. The waves were big at the time so it was an exciting ride. From there, we have to walk for about the 3-5 mins towards the cave entrance and then wait for our turn to go into a paddle boat so start the tour. The key is patience so you won’t get annoyed about the waiting time. Spend that time taking photos and enjoy the food on the street while waiting. The buffet lunch was delicious! Lots of Filipino food options and desserts.

Absolutely amazing trip to visit this world heritage site. - We booked the day trip with the hotel. Pick up is approx 7am as it’s almost 1.5 hours to the site. It cost us 2500 pesos per person. May vary hotel to hotel. There is additional 150-300 pesos environmental fee. Keep this receipt safely as it’s one time payment for all sites visited in puerto princesa. Lunch is served. There maybe an opportunity for you to try the longest 800m zip line (600 peso) in Palawan and do the mangrove paddle boat (350 peso). The boat takes you within the underground cave to a distance of about 1-1.5km and the cave is sighted via flashlight. Awesome sight. Must visit.

Departure and return - Departed at 5.30 am picked up directly from the hotel, excellent organization of the agency to anticipate a cruise that would have priority over us due to their tight times, the trip takes about 2 hours, arrived first stop boat that takes you to the entrance of the underground river and the possibility of audioguide in Italian that makes you really appreciate the importance of the place, return by boat and mini stretch in van for the choice whether to do the zipline (paying) and then the boat ride among the mangroves (very cute and suggestive). Those who did only the mangroves could make a walk to the beach nearby, gathered all you go to eat the excellent typical food buffet, return for 2.00 pm

Disappointing Puerto Princesa Cave Tour - impersonal and Lazy - This tour to the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River was a letdown. While the cave itself was undoubtedly impressive - and worth seeing, the organization and execution of the tour were severely lacking. Firstly, the tour description completely omitted how the several activities impacted the overall experience; resulting in these activities caused the majority portion of the group to wait in the cold and wet for an extended period, which was incredibly uncomfortable and frustrating. Secondly, the "guides" were essentially just drivers. They provided minimal information about the park or the surrounding area. There was no engaging commentary, no historical or cultural insights, and no real effort to enhance the experience beyond basic transportation. Overall, this tour felt overpriced for the level of service provided. The lack of transparency regarding additional activities and the lackluster guiding severely detracted from what could have been a truly memorable experience. I would strongly advise potential travelers to upgrade to more private experience or seek alternative tour operators who prioritize customer satisfaction and provide a more comprehensive and engaging experience.

Disappointing! - The drive over and back was so erratic that our “guide “ got sick - there was also no information given on the country. We booked a private tour but sat for 2-3 hours after almost everyone else was loaded into boats to go over and we were treated like we were an afterthought!. Our ride back was even more daring with a side road “bathroom driver pit stop” and following an ambulance thru town with driver and guide laughing.

Wasted day for a 1hr boat ride and misorganisation - The company changed pick up to 6am from 745am, informed 8pm the day before - with a warning - forfeit if you dont attend. Unprofessional and incompetent staff. 1hr distance to venue, 1hr boat ride, then they make you wait while 2 people in the group were taken to another 30min boat ride and zip wire, both which were not that impressive. They dont tell you that you wait and waste your day even if you are not doing these additional activities. In addition also left in the middle of the road waiting for transport - no updates for nearly 2hr. Horrible company. AVOID
