A Visit to Old World Guatamala With A Twist - Wow what a great experience! We undertook this journey upon arriving in Puerto Quetzal on a cruise through the Panama Canal. We were met at the ship by Moises promptly when we got off the ship at 7:00 am. He is a wonderful person who willingly shared his views on the Mayan culture and it’s relationship to Guatamala , Spanish, the land and Catholic cultures. Driving to Antigua which is a 90 minute experience we learned a lot of geographic and geologic information on the Guatemalan plains, Guatemalan volcanoes and the highlands where the old colonial capital, Antiqua was built before it’s destruction in 1773 by a massive earthquake. Upon arriving in Antigua, we began a walk exploring this old and magnificent city. We explored ruins, restored buildings, the Mayan market, the city hall and the main square. We became highly informed about the life of Guatamala’s own San Pedro. We concluded our visit with a delicious meal at a small wonderful typical restaurant recommended by Moises. We completed our tour a little early and Moises took us on a tour of the “real Guatamala” in cities like San Pedro, San Miguel, and the Old City on the way back to the port. We have done a number of these private tours in many cities and countries throughout the world but this was one of the most informative and fun days we had spent. Moises made this all happen with his skills, knowledge, and tube worldview he shared with us. You cannot go wrong in booking this tour with Moises. You will come away enlightened about a region of a country you might overlook in planning your travels. Don’t miss this when visiting the beautiful country in Central America.

Best day out in Antigua - Fantastic day out with a wonderful guide, Moisel, and fantastic driver. Very accommodating of our requests too. The volcanoes were amazing and Moisel knew the best places to stop. He led us through the town showing the really interesting places and giving us lots of information. He recommended a lunch place to us and the food was amazing in a beautiful setting. Great day, I would highly recommend Moisel and this tour.

Antigua excursion - Antigua is a lively city with lots of history and beautiful plazas. Our guide, Moises, and driver were fabulous and very accommodating to meet our requests. They recommended a fantastic place for lunch which was so lovely and good was delicious. Fantastic driving. We were in good hands and thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

Shore excursion private tour - Roberto was a fantastic guide. I mentioned to him that my husband had come down with a case of gout and was having difficulty walking and Roberto created our tour around that fact with minimal walking. He is very personable and we felt he was a true friend before our tour was over. He truly loves Guatemala and wants to share all the beauty and history with all his clients. Great Private Tour. - We booked a tour for 5 people. Irwin, our guide, was waiting for us. It was a great day. Irwin did a fantastic job. Great driver, very safe and helpful. Irwin answered all our questions, shared information about Guatemala, Antigua, etc. It was beautiful day. Irwin was good about telling us what he had planned for the day but also offering to make any adjustments we might request. He is proud of his country while also aware of the challenges that it confronts. We all enjoyed the day. It was our best excursion out of the five that we booked. Irwin answered all our questions. Great Day in Guatamao - We had a private tour of Antigua including a trip to the Carolina Textile company and Jade Museum. Irwin was a very special driver and guide. He was very knowledgeable and proud of his country. He went out of his way to please us . We would hire him again if we come back to Guatemala!

A great visit to Antigua - Today my wife and I had a great experience with GTM providing our private tour from Puerto Quetzal to the beautiful city of Antigua. Felix, our driver and tourguide was fabulous. He waited for us with a sign showing our names so we could avoid the normal queues leaving the port. Felix stopped the car whenever we wanted to take pictures and during the 3 hour walking tour through the town of Antigua he managed to show us all the interesting buildings and sites and timed this in such a way that large crowds were avoided. Felix provided us with a tremendous amount of inside information leaving us with no more questions to ask!
