Exceptional guide - Beautiful city, charming and interesting, but our guide was exceptional and so knowledgeable and friendly. He surely is a great asset for your company, Grey Line Tours, Jaun Pablo Gomez , he was a pleasure to be with.

Well organized excursion - We were picked up at Puerto Queztal, Guatemala, for an excursion to Antigua. It turned out to be a small group of about 11 from the cruise ship. The guide gave us information during the 1-1/2 hour trip about that part of Guatemala, and showed us different places of interest in that historical town. Even though we were taken to a jade factory, there was no real pressure to buy. Lunch at a local restaurant was included. Afterwards we were taken back to the port in good time.

This is a must for first timers - Charming city with a lot to see. Very Warm to Hot with the occasional cooling breeze. Friendly town with history and stories of the indigenous people. The Jade Museum and factory was actually OK. They do have some good deals on unique pieces. Lunch was local.

Tour Left Without Us - When we booked this tour I told the company that our ship did not dock until 8:00 am and that it would take some time to get off the ship. At 8:20 someone from Viator called me on my cell phone to ask me where I was. I told them that we weren't allowed to disembark yet. She said that everyone else had and didn't know why my group wasn't there. Turns out she had us disembarking off of a Azamara ship and not Oceania. When we got to shore Viator scrambled around trying to figure out what was going on. They finally put us on another tour and off we went. The condition of the van was abysmal and several people complained about the lack of suspension on the car and the driver's competence in navigating the pot holes. My husband's back went out because of it and when he complained, Viator sent another newer van for the trip back. The tour guide was great and very knowledgeable. The only thing was that he did not wait for the older, slower people to catch up on the walking tour. I would not recommend this tour company.

Only big problem was... - Only big problem was finding the van to Antigua, your directions said it was at our port, but it was not had to take a bus to another part of the port, and no one knew that very poor directions for starting it. The van taking us to Antigua was old and run down, no air.

Disappointed - Trip was canceled 2 days in a row. They should NOT post available dates if indeed they are not conducting the excursion because cruise ship were not coming in on the those dates. We spent $50 to get to the cruise port and back to our hotel became there weren’t any cruise ships coming in.

Just a never-ending bus ride, not a tour - This was a poor tour, and we advise to look at something else. We were on the Sapphire Princess, and had not been to Guatemala before. This looked like a good tour where we could explore the city and the Jade Museum. Our experience was terrible. It took us over two hours to get to Antigua from the port. We then had to switch to smaller vehicles because the bus could not navigate through the city. Once we got to the Jade Museum, we had twenty-five minutes ( and not the advertised hour). Ten minutes was spent on a restroom break for the bus passengers. There was a lecture from a woman for ten minutes. We had five minutes to shop, and no time to look at the workshop or the “museum.” Then we spent another hour driving around, but we couldn’t stop anyplace according to our guide Alfredo. Then back to the bigger bus, and another hour forty-five to the ship. A tour is not five to six hours on the bus. We’ve been on twenty-six cruises, and this was the worst “tour” we’ve experienced.
