Absolutely Incredible! Once In A Lifetime Experience! - Where do I start... this was the highlight of our entire holiday. We booked through a gentleman who was offering excursions near the beach front, who were also incredibly helpful and provided transport from our hotel to the boat. The trip was around 2/3 hours, worth every second just for the views. The tour guide was lovely, very friendly, informative and helpful. She spoke all languages after asking everyone on board what they spoke. We went out about 10/15 miles I think, saw around 40 dolphins! The captain made sure everyone on both sides of the boat got a great view of them. They even provided sick bags incase of motion sickness, the sea was a but choppy the further out we got but the tour guide was very comforting and assured us it was OK. There was also plenty of space on the boat, around 150 people on board I think. Would definitely recommend doing this tour if visiting Gran Canaria!

We saw lots of dolphins! - Had a fantastic trip out on the Spirit of the Sea, they issue the standard warning that you're not guaranteed to see any wildlife before you set off but after just over an hours travel we were lucky enough to see dolphins, not just one or two but lots and lots they were everywhere, swimming around the boat, alongside the boat, jumping out the water we even saw a baby one swimming alongside its mother it was incredible. We didn't see the whales like some other reviewers unfortunately but loved it all the same. The crew are good fun and seem to enjoy themselves as much as us. It is choppy and there were many who were very sea sick so it's advisable to take some travel sick tablets if you're prone to it! Definitely worth doing it's a great trip 👌

Nice experience! - On a morning when no one had seen dolphins we succeeded! Thanks to the crew's research we met a large group of dolphins and could admire them both on the surface and from the underwater window at the bottom of the boat. The ride was pleasant and drinks are also offered on board. Highly recommended!

Dolphin trip - We had a very choppy sail out but found it relaxing at the same time! You do need sea legs to cope with it. They were very informative and we didn’t think we were going to see any Dolphins until it was nearly time to go back when we saw a group of Dolphins that swam along side the boat thank you so much to the crew for going 1 hour over our time so that we could experience of seeing them and a bonus saw a turtle swimming on the way back. Please do tip them as they do a grand job.😃🐬 26/09/23.

A wonderful experience - A very friendly welcome in the morning. A beautiful sunny day, and an "exciting" trip to spot the seals. Our patience was tested for a while, but suddenly there were so many of them!!! All around and around the boat. Put on quite a show for our audience. Very overwhelming. Nature is a wonderful thing. On our next visit to Gran Canaria we will definitely visit "Spirit of the Sea" again. Thank you for the beautiful day ♥️

Great trip for little money. - It was just great, besides numerous dolphins we also saw two turtles and some so-called flying fish. Also the entire crew on board was friendly, immediately alerted us as soon as something was visible in the distance. Even the subsequent bathing stay, in a bay, near the port was exactly as it should be. For the price simply recommended.

Persistent guides, didnt go home before we saw some whales - Very nice. We didnt see any dolphins or whales for the first couple of hours, but our guides extended the tour (for free) until they found some. Good thing we had already payed for extra parking. 😆 Incredible experience to see the whales in their natural habitat, and through the glass bottom in the boat.

Nice walk to locate cetaceans - We took the 2 hour experience, no dip. We were lucky because we didn’t have to go too far from the coast to see many dolphins, I think the mule type, which are usually submerged. They accompanied us for a long time. We saw some element or other, but good. Sometimes you barely see anything. The best attention of the staff who were explaining, accompanying us, and even shared photos and videos made by them to better enjoy the experience once finished.

Expensive, woeful check in experience despite pre paying - The day before we asked what was the quieter time to go and was told 12.30 and we just needed to turn up at 12.10. We arrived at before 12 to a massive queue and despite paying the day before still had to join the queue. Int eh end we despite turning up early were one of the last passengers to board. The captain did everything he could to try and find dolphins even extending the trip by 30 minutes but it wasn’t to be. No fault of the crew. The boat seats are uncomfortable especially when it gets choppy further out, recommend anti sea sickness tablets. If it wasn’t for the painful queuing I would have given them more stars but it was an expensive trip overall
