After an additional 15-minute hike, reach another watering hole with natural waterfalls.
NOTE: Saturday tours follow a different route and require participants to be in good physical condition. This path is ideal for those who are fit and ready for a steeper and muddier adventure. If this isn’t suitable, consider booking on any other day of the week.

Great adventure! - We loved this & guides Steph & Richard were amazing. We went as a family of 4 - parents in our 50’s, 2 daughters in 20’s. We went the day after xmas & despite it being one of the busiest days of the year our guides were able to navigate the crowds. Advice for families: We all wore Teva sandles & they were good for traction & for the deep mud & water. Also previous reviews mention the tour being “strenuous.” We’re all in reasonably good shape & I would describe it more as being slippery & slightly scary (rocks, water, heights) & there are parts where you do need to scramble over wet, slippery rocks without much to hold on to. That said, the guides were there with a hand when needed. This is definitely about the slide & jumps - I had thought I would just watch my kids do them but it’s kind of the best way down once you go up! I think maybe on a less crowded day there would be a bit more about the rainforest & biodiversity. Thank you to Richard & Steph for the highlight of our PR vacation!

Rainforest Experience of Lifetime - We had a wonderful time at El Yunque Rainforest. Definitely worth the trip. Our host LaTaina was amazing. We learned so much and had the experience of a lifetime. Thank you for making sure everyone had fun. I would highly recommend booking this experience and going as early.

Fun and exciting trek through the rainforest! - We had an awesome time with our guide Paul. Our kids ages 6 and 9 loved learning about the different plants on the way into the rainforest, and then sliding down the rock falls and swimming in the clear pools. Rope swinging and cliff jumping was a blast for the more adventurous! We felt well taken care of and supported the whole time. Door to door transport made it a breeze. Recommend bringing towels, water, and change of clothes to leave in the van.

Glad that we found this tour and booked it. Unforgettable experience and core memory for my son with Mother Nature ❤️ - One of the best experiences and late planning done with my 7 year old. Juel our guide was awesome. Grateful that I got water shoes/hiking shoes as the ground is pretty slippery. My 7 year old LOVED the experience, this was his first ever hike and water activity in nature. Definitely recommend this small group tour. Taking this experience back with me for life.

Family tour to El Yunque waterslide and pools - We had an amazing experience hiking through the rain forest, sliding down the natural rock water slides into cool mountain pools, jumping and rope swinging into the same, and learning about the local plants and environment. Taina is an incredible guide. Super passionate and knowledgeable. Highly recommend this experience!

hike to a small waterfall, and rope swing - This is a half-day trip to a waterfall. There is a 1 mile hike, but it's mostly flat. Though it also is muddy, so you will get mud on your shoes and legs.
The waterfall is relatively small, but pretty. There is a rope swing where people swing out over the water. The guide explained some of the flora we were seeing. Overall, not what I expected. But it was fun.

Amazing way to experience a day in nature’s lap - This is a great way to experience the wonderful rainforest . Catherine ( La Taina ) did an amazing job in making everyone feel comfortable in the group, educating us about the rainforest and keeping it fun all along! There are two things that we will encourage the tour organizers to consider for improvement in future tours:
1) Hiking shoes should be mentioned explicitly as a requirement as regular sneakers don’t have the required grip to handle the slippery soil that people encounter during the trip.
2) Consider adding helmets to enhance the safety features offered as part of the experience. I understand this might increase the cost, but, in my opinion, most people will be more than happy to pay that extra money for the enhanced safety.
