• Puerto Rio Tranquilo - From Puerto Tranquilo, we will head to Exploradores, a journey of about 1.5 hours. This location serves as one of the main gateways to Laguna San Rafael National Park via the Exploradores Valley and the Northern Ice Field. Situated 223 km south of Coyhaique, Puerto Tranquilo and its surroundings boast stunning attractions that have become iconic along the Carretera Austral, such as the Marble Chapels and the Exploradores Glacier, which descends from Monte San Valentín (3,910 meters above sea level), the highest peak in all of Patagonia. This town is surrounded by breathtaking nature, and we invite you to visit these charming villas.
• Glaciar Exploradores - Glaciar Exploradores is located 52 kilometers west of Puerto Río Tranquilo, within Laguna San Rafael National Park, approximately a 1.2-hour drive. During this journey, you will enjoy views of two lakes and a waterfall along the route.

We will enter through the CONAF Visitor Center, where technical equipment is prepared, and a briefing is given by specialist guides.

We will begin the trek to the Exploradores Glacier, a 7-hour hike that starts through forests and then over loose rocks (moraines) before reaching the clean ice. Once at the glacier, we will take a break to put on the necessary technical equipment and begin the walk on the white ice. Here, you will be able to see, feel, and hear the living ice, explore inside the ice caves, and marvel at the pure blue ice, with its constantly changing formations and small gaps. Please note that this is a long and adventurous trek.

Finally, we will return to the town.

• Puerto Rio Tranquilo - After this incredible experience, we will head back to Puerto Tranquilo. The return journey will take about 1.5 hours, and we will drop you off at your hotel, marking the end of our service.
