Fun! - The vibe was amazing! I also think the food was pretty okay! The open bar was nice! Overall I would do it again with friends or family!

Great Time! - I went on this trip with one of my best friends. The hospitality of the boat crew was fantastic. Every crew member was kind, funny, and outgoing. The ride there was really fun. They bring around cocktails and/or beer for you. The male crew members will definitely go out of there way to get you laughing and having a blast if you're female and it's your birthday! Those latin men sure know how to dance! There are two options after the snorkeling. You can either stay on the beach and enjoy the water and sun, or go to the waterfall. We chose to stay on the beach. The beach itself is beautiful, but do expect there to be a lot of people. Once at the beach you can choose to parasail or ride horses to get a better view of the beach and ocean. Both are nice experiences. Bring extra money because these are extra services. They are well priced however. But, I recommend them because you will be on the beach for a few hours. The snorkeling is brief, and so if you are looking for several hours in the water and seeing fish is your main goal, it might be better to book a more eco type of tour. But honestly, this trip was so fun, and the boat ride, the beach, the beach activities, were all so much fun! You also can't ask for nicer people. Also, I think try for a non weekend day with better weather and you will have even better luck than we did. We saw fish, but we were there on a high wave day with a little overcast. Chuy, Hector, and Jorge were wonderful crew! Thanks again Grupo Naviero!

Disorganized, poor quality food, no one regulates environmental care - To board whoever wins , you arrive early or late, disorganized and I read the boarding , you can touch a place of sunshine throughout the way , the bay tour is beautiful , breakfast reaches to comply , we were not given napkins!, it is surprising that these tours do not use biodegradable utensils, we saw how forks and plastic cups fell into the sea !!! We do not use the snorkeling equipment but it is easy to deduce that hygiene measures are taken with the equipment , when you reach the cheers , you see a beautiful beach, sadly full of TRASH it is surprising that no one regulates, there are no recommendations or threats of fine!! Or something!! Someone do something.!!! Nothing between pieces of Unicel , bottles, soft drink covers, sparkling water and with diesel remains of the boats is a SADNESS!!!! Everyone uses the blocker they want, and obvious the impact to the water is noticeable!!!!! Food of little portion and an unsurprising taste, full of flies!!! It is surprising so many years that this beach has served as a tourist attraction and that neither the government nor the tourists nor the operators establish security measures ... one day will end that attraction ... total the beautiful bay walk , food and drinks (free bar) of poor quality, and nature struggles to survive while being exploited ..

Various breaches of what they promise - To begin with, it left an hour and a quarter after the corresponding time, which was obviously taken away from the snorkeling time, which was one of the things I liked the most; The food was extremely scarce, they charged for a drink at lunch that didn't say so, they promised kayaks and despite asking for them several times they never offered them so they could offer additional paid things all the time without stopping; I sent my complaints to Mr. Santos, who had been very attentive and never responded to me again: in short, inadvisable!!!

The scam tour - Nothing is true ,first of all ,you supposed to start the tour at 9 o’clock but left the port about 10.30 ,the breakfast is a joke ,then about 30 minutes people jump into the water by Los arcos and open the bar for less than an hour ,then the group is divided the for those who wants stay at the Animas beach or the Quimixto,we stayed at the beach but if you don’t buy nothing at the restaurant, they treated you really rud and don’t let use the chairs at the beach, and everything is overpriced [but there is a market ,not far where you can buy the drinks),then about 3 they served the terrible lunch and you have to hurry up to come back to the boat ,and then on the way back they open the bar again for about 1 hour and the drinks are terrible too ,so my suggestion don’t get this tour ,it is waste of money.

DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND - This was a complete waste of our time!! We felt that we were totally taken advantage of! First off we were promised breakfast buffet and lunch. Just to find out that it’s one plate of breakfast and one plate for lunch! Breakfast was on the boat and consisted of 2 small cold pancakes with 5 small pieces of cantaloupe and papaya and a spoonful of yogurt or the option of 1/4 scrambled eggs and 1 cup chilaquiles! For lunch you had the option to choose between some items. We chose the fish “which was a very small piece with beans and lettuce!” Besides not being a buffet we had to pay for the drinks, which ended up being $900 pesos for regular non-alcoholic drinks, which we had to purchase since there were no other options other than swallowing your food and not having anything to drink! The snorkeling part consisted of jumping off the boat into filthy water and not being able to see anything when snorkeling for about 30 minutes. Oh and they really want to take your pictures when snorkeling so they can charge you about $800 pesos (depending on how rich you look that’s about how much they’ll charge)! We ended up paying $600 pesos per person to take the horses up to a waterfall hoping to get a better experience from the tour, we should have opted into staying by the beach! The waterfall was dry and they took us to a restaurant where we either consumed to sit by the shade or if we didn’t we got to sit by the sun! On the way back there was a boat "party" that was all about getting drunk at an open bar with beer and cocktails and dancing half naked to the loud music. My kids were mortified and just tired of the horrible tour we were having! I do not recommend this tour for kids! The boat ride was very long both ways, it was sailing at the very slow speed! Bathroom was filthy since there was only one bathroom for men and one for women. There were about 100 people on the tour. We had to arrive at the marina at 9:15 am and ended up leaving at 10:00 am and got back at 8:00 pm. Overall I do not recommend this tour, and will definitely stay away from “Bahia Alegre”

You get some of what you pay for - You get some of what you pay for. This tour is what it said it would be…snorkeling in a big group, sitting on a beach, and waiting to eat your lunch. Fun atmosphere on the boat with the crew as drinks flow freely, but the beach and lunch experience was definitely not worth the wait. Dogs roaming on the beach, peeing on the chairs, and drinks on beach ran out. Not a lot of direction once you have paid for the trip. Doesn’t actually start at 9:15..didn’t load boat until 10 a.m. but thank goodness we didn’t leave on time as it would have meant more time just sitting on the beach and waiting to get taken back to town! Would definitely not recommend this outing.

Not what we expected at all… - This tour was NOT WORTH it. Find other tour that do not have huge fluctuations in reviews. I should have known not to book this excursion. The day started off windy and raining..the water was extremely choppy and many got sick. No snorkeling on this tour… Also there was a huge delay in getting back. On our way back, we stopped to help a sinking boat, thankfully our boat was there in time to help those on that sinking boat. The food was low quality… Our experience of this excursion was beyond dissatisfying to say the least… Please read all the reviews and decide for yourself.

Know before you go! No gracias! - Know before you go!! This review is to help you have real expectations. I fully understand that each person will experience this differently. Also we paid $0 for this tour, it was free because we sat through the 90 minute presentation, which actually was two hours. So you will need to pay the port fee to be able to board the boat. This fee is small like 32 pesos each ($1.88 each roughly). The boat was very crowded, over a hundred for sure. You will be able to pick you seat, either the upper or lower deck. The only seats are white patio chairs. The ride was not super rough and the chairs were adequate. Once on the boat they begin announcements we were on the top floor and it was a little difficult to hear them. Announcements were made in Spanish and English. They do their best to help everyone understand but it was really hard to hear and understand. Breakfast was served, Orange or pineapple juice, then one pancake with syrup, some watermelon and cantaloupe, and a little yogurt and some granola on top. Or tortilla chips with cheese and salsa and eggs. All of these are already prepared on a plate for you to choose one or the other. The first stop we had was Los Arcos. Really cool little arches in small rock islands. This is marketed as the part to snorkel ( we were here in September of 23, lots of rain this past week). The visibility was 0, we could not see anything until you were about 6 ft away. We asked in advance if the visibility would be good enough to see anything. The guy at the concierges said he went the previous day and that it was great and he saw lots of fish. So unless you are here during a time of year with less rain, think of this part as just swimming. They will require you to wear a life jacket, and you must leave an iID with them before you can take a snorkel set. Inspect the mask before you go out. The first two I got had tears in the silicone part of the mask. This was a super fast snorkel excursion the brochure said 25 minutes. We swam from the boat through one cave and right back to the boat with someone shouting at the snorkelers the whole time to keep things moving quickly. After the snorkeling the open bar and loud music begins. Once the snorkeling is over they begin again with very confusing direction, this is due to multiple options. You can stay at Animas at the beach, or go by boat to Quimixto to hike to a waterfall, at the end of the hike there is a bridge you need to cross to see the falls. If you want to cross you need to buy a drink. We didn’t go here but read reviews about what to expect. Instead we decided we would enjoy the beach and promised lounge chairs. We got to Los Animas around 12:30, announcements about los Animas, tell you the umbrellas and chairs are included. The only ones included are the ones near the restaurants. The beach style chairs that lay down were about 45 pesos per person. On the boat they announced lunch would be 3-4? Seems late. Our table waiter told us it would be 2:30, it wasn’t till around 3:30 that we got our food. Small portions of beans and rice, little bit of lettuce, chicken onions and pepper, and corn tortillas. The meal was just ok, just don’t expect anything extravagant. Also note that the only thing included from the tour at the beach is the food ticket items you choose ahead of time. All drinks and snack will be extra. There was some promised paddle boards and kayaks in the brochure. It took a while to find two kayaks so we could go out, and no paddle boards were seen. The beach is busy with water taxis’s, boats doing parasale rides and banana boat rides. So it is pretty busy and everyone needed to stay alert!! It was also crowded with people. The sand on the upper portion of the beach is very hard on the feet. Kind of gravel like. You taxi in small boats to and from the larger boat, some of these drop you off in the surf and some on a small dock, be carful not to get a hand or foot between the boat and dock, they did mention this but it is definitely a safety concern. Once back on board the music gets really loud and the bartenders are hustling like crazy to serve everyone their preferred drinks. We don’t drink alcohol so the options for us were coke, squirt, or water, each seemed to come with little bits of chili powder in them. I saw the bartenders washing them, but the stuff was everywhere as they were coating the rims of the glasses of certain drinks. There were a few families with young children aboard the boat. The environment was pretty rowdy for families, some of the passengers were so drunk they could hardly walk off the boat. If you like lots of loud music and dancing, and drinking in large quantities this may be the tour for you. There were multiple people that couldn’t get off the boat fast enough, like us. I know now this was not the tour for us, we would probably have enjoyed staying at the resort, which would be much more relaxing. I hope this helps you determine if this tour is for you! We have been traveling for almost 20 years as a couple. We have been on several trips to Cancun/ Cozumel and had a great time. We also did the Rhythms of the night tour which we both liked. I think understanding the tour before you go will make it much more enjoyable. Kind regards!
