AHOY I’m a pirate now - We found this excursion originally through our hotel. It was our daughter birthday week while we were staying in PV. We booked it based on reviews. You arrive the pirate shop at 8am. From there you walk across the street to the pier and enter what appears to be an authentic pirate ship full of pirates. This show is geared towards little but there is lots of humor and it was funny. The cruise to pirate island is a little more than an hour. During this time there are pirate dances, jokes and fights. It was lovely to set the least! The island is really nice there is a treasure hunt for the kids and drinks for the adults. I would say we were there for about 2 hours I honestly lost track of time. The trip back is lunch (yummy) and more pirate games. We were exhausted by the time we made it back. The boat rocks ALOT so if you are prone to sea sickness take Dramamine. I did and did not get sick! Don’t forget cash for your personal pirate.

In Puerta Vallarta, if you dont take the pirate ship you are missing out. - Well, we have my grandson with us and got invited by a lovely lovely couple from Calgary AB to join them. From the shop check-in to every last moment, the excursion was fantastic. In our group, we had over 70 down to 2. The staff were beyond caring, committed, so wonderful, and awesome. The food was next level, really after finishing I took a fry from my grandson and cleaned my plate, it was thant good. Well done to the entire entire team.

Absolutely Exceptional - Booked this trip with Roger at gray line. He accommodated our family beyond any expectation. He really went out of his way for us. The cruise was fantastic. The show was top rats. All the staff were out of this world generous and kind. We’ve done many trips and I must say this experience was the best one when it came to service for myself, my pregnant wife and our 2 kids. I’d put it at the top of the list for any and and every family.

Great family outing. - Great for a family with young children. Grandson loved it and he is 6 1/2. Lots of activities for children to participate in. Make sure to get to marina by around 8:15. Checking in takes a while. Our pirate, Mike, was the best. Extremely attentive to all our needs. Bring towels and maybe some snacks for when you are on the island. On the island there is plenty to drink but nothing to eat. You do get breakfast and lunch on the ship and both are quite good. There is a port tax of around $2 per peron so make sure you bring cash with you. Bring a couple of towels and definitely a hat and sunscreen. I highly recommend this adventure.

Amazing pirate experience - The individual attention from the pirates for each family. The photographer captured so many great moments The food was excellent. Snorkeling and riding the banana boat at the beach we could have Kayak too but choose to hang on the beautiful beach. The Pirate show and the games for the kids snd adults was very entertaining. We had a 5 snd 17 year old and they both had alot of fun.

Fun family experience - It was good. The most time you spend on the ship, but the show is good and the ship itself is cool. Snorkeling depends on the season I believe, we eere unlucky with seaweed bloom. OK with food and drinks.

Really fun day - We did the day trip with our son and his family ( 2 boys 6 and 8 ) and had a great time. The staff is very organized once you understand the system. Upon checkin you are but into a small group and have your personal pirate. Our pirate was named Floky and he guides you through when to eat and line up etc. They do fun contests and a full pirate batlle on the way to Majuitas beach. At the beach Floky helped get us set up in chairs, THey have a lot of fun activities for the kids and the banana boat for all ages. Open Bar tip order tequila shots to add to your drinks. All sounds corny but we had a great time! Also the food is OK too

Big disappointment - I hardly ever write a negative review, but I have to say this cruise was a huge disappointment for my family. We did the day pirate cruise, with a party of 10. I will say the staff on board were pretty good, and did their best given the conditions. Tom in particular was great to us! Unfortunately, there were not many other redeeming qualities. The boat is extremely cramped, and not much room to move around with little kids (we have a 3 and 5 year old). The highlight that kept our kids excited was the beach that we were supposed to visit and the treasure hunt. Unfortunately after sailing for 3 hours in a relatively dirty and packed boat, we were informed that due to the high tides we couldn’t go on the beach. This was really hard news to hear. The reason given was that the tide was too high. Fair enough, but then my issue is that they either: A) knew in advance the tide would be high, as this information is readily available to anyone who sails. They then chose not to inform anyone as it very likely would mean lots of people would cancel if they knew they’d be stuck on the boat for over 6 hours; B) they didn’t know, which is troubling as they should really be checking this info prior to sailing. At a minimum another beach could have been planned. In the end, we were left with 2 very unhappy toddlers who were quite sick by the end, as well as others not only in our group, but many many others onboard. I understand that you can’t control nature. But tides are predictable and when people are paying 1000’s of dollars on the trip you should be more transparent.
