A place to GO - A truly must place to go.
Fabian (an original Peruvian entomologist “lepidopterist “) is the owner of this wonderful place, he will guiding you to the enigmatic world of Butterflies, you will not regret your visit to this place believe me.
Couple of recommendations to go.
To reach the place, avoid taxis or yellow cabs, use Uber or any other internet platform which will give you a fair price.
Avoid pay anything to Concierge Hotels, they will do nothing about heading you to find this place but take your money, I’m pretty sure most of them don’t know anything about this place or you can finding there, save your tips for Fabian and his people at the sanctuary.
It is easy to find info to reach the place, use google maps, they are at many social networks, do your finding work don’t be lazy and in the worst case, contacting him at his WhatsApp phone, place have some communication issues sometimes but worth a try believe me.

Amazing experience - This was an amazing experience, I highly recommend this to anyone visiting puerto Vallarta. Not only was it so nice seeing all the beautiful butterflies but it was so informative! I learned so much I didn’t know, And the guide was just so helpful to me and so sweet!! Such a beautiful soul! <3

A magical place. - It's a unique experience. Fabian is an excellent host who infects you with his knowledge and passion for his work! A place of learning, approach to nature and awareness. I didn't imagine it would be such a good experience.

A Huge Thumbs Up for Mariposario Jardin - Although I live in Puerto Vallarta part of the year, I had never visited the Mariposario Jardin. I will be back. And I will bring visitors and family. I was not only impressed with the very natural environment, I was really amazed by the information I received. I am so happy that there is such a loving and sweet environment for the native butterflies. The conservation element is a huge part of this opertion and I support it wholeheartedly. A huge thumbs up.

Visit and support this magical place! - Mariposa sanctuary was such a delight. Everyone in our group had been to other butterfly gardens but we ALL walked away with new knowledge of butterflies! Fabian was such a good teacher and he took his time answering our many questions. Preserving and protecting native species is more important than just showcasing the most colorful butterflies. Would definitely recommend this tour!

An unexpected enjoyable experience - This was a most interesting experience. Our guide was Danny, a biologist, and he explained everything very well. They had great examples of all of the stages in the life of butterflies and moths including there food sources.i would suggest arranging transportation in advance at it is not as well known as other tourist attractions in the area

butterfly sanctuary - Awesome tour, very informational. Learned a lot of new things about butterflies and got to see 13 different species. Really fun, definitely recommend!!

An Absolutely Amazing Experience - The Butterfly Sanctuary is a little off of the beaten path, but it is 100% worth the trek. The guided tour provides educational/insightful information about each stage of the butterfly life cycle. If you get the opportunity to work with Fabian and/or Adrian, you will most certainly be in good hands. The tour ends with an incredible opportunity to release newly metamorphosized butterflies into the sanctuary! It was most definitely one of the highlights during my visit to Puerto Vallarta.
