I should’ve been a cowboy - Although we did not get to cross the river due to rainy season being in full swing, we had an amazing adventure. If you want real, genuine Jalisco, take this tour. The staff were wonderful, the horses appeared well cared for and it was a pleasure the entire trip.

Amazing horseback riding and food! - The drive up to the ranch was beautiful! We were greeyed with bottled water and then went off to meet our horses. The ranch hands went over safety and then paired each of us with a horse. We weren't able to ride across the river due to it being rainy season and a bit too dangerous, but we went on a long ride through the small town up into the mountains. The views were breathtaking! After the ride (about 2 hours) we got a souvenir cantarito with our names on them filled with a delicious paloma! Then we got to a r sort in the mountains with a river view. They were able to accommodate food restrictions and they taught us how to make our own salsa! The tequila tasting was amazing and the margaritas were unlimited!! After a dip in the pool, we headed back and were dropped off to do more exploring! It was a fantastic day!

Many Experiences in one Tour - From start to finish, this tour was a great time. After arriving to the meeting point, our tour guide drove us about 20/30 mins to the ranch where the horses are at. Each person gets paired with one, then we take off. Depending on the weather, you can pass through a river, however, we visited during rain season so we couldn’t pass through it for our own safety and that of the horses. The alternative route had beautiful views, and if you’re near the guides, they provide info on different trees, historical marks, or any questions you have (some horses are slower than others). The tequila tasting took place in an isolated resort in the mountains with stunning views, delicious food, and tequila for sale by the bottles if you liked any of the ones you tried. Everything about this guide was great, would definitely do it again.

Extremely fun and highly recommended! - I had so much fun on this excursion! The horses are so well trained and the directions are clear on how to ride them. The trail can get dusty but you can buy bandanas ahead of time which I highly recommend. The guides for this trip are very friendly and the tequila tasting is awesome! It's incredible how smooth some of the tequilas are and you get to try some mezcal. The destination you're brought for food has amazing margaritas and other good drinks for an additional charge. The food is also outstanding! There's also the option to cool down in a pool. We did cross the river multiple times but it wasn't high enough to have yourself submerged. I was worried about wearing shorts initially but had no issues, id highly recommend bringing a swimsuit for swimming at the pool or if the river is high enough to be submerged in. Overall, I'd recommend this trip for any beginner or experienced horse rider looking to enjoy some good tequila and bbq!

New adventure for the family. - This was fantastic. My wife was instrumental in pushing for this and I’m glad she did. The guides were fantastic, the horses even better :). The food and swim we had at a former drug cartel home was very cool and so was the tequila tasting. Highly recommend this tour. Our three boys were new to horseback riding (18, 16 and 11) and all said they would “definitely” do it again.

Amazing experience! - Amazing excursion with great food! Hosts were very entertaining and took care of us from the meeting point to even finding a taxi/ uber when excursion was over. There are different levels for the horses, so you feel like a pro while riding. Sign up for this excursion during your stay! No regrets!!!

10 Tequila Shots, Worth It. - Great tour! But: 1) You'll suddenly get 6 tequila shots and 1 mezcal shot, one after the other. Then, you'll have unlimited margaritas. So, no one asked for more than 3 margaritas. Too much to drink in a short period of time. (10 measures in 1 hour) Then, you eat and ride your horse back to the starting point. 2) You'll get one or two photos at most. That's too little.

Horseback riding - The horse ride was very long and hot. Need to stop for some shade and cold water. Tell more about the trails and where we are heading. All the host were very nice. Husband got kicked and fell off his horse and everyone was very helpful. The resort was beautiful and the food was outstanding.

Yay! - Riding the horse wasn’t the best in July heat. The pool, food, and drinks add saved the experience. Our tour guide on Thursday 7/18/24 was awesome! Very funny and personable.

Reconsider and do your research! Not a good tour. - The trail for the horse back was nothing like the pictures. They don’t feed the horses, my horse kept stopping to eat every chance she got! I felt sorry for her. They are well trained horses but the way they looked were very disturbing. We didn’t have anyone talking to us about anything on the tour it was very quiet ride. We literally rode horses through the village of where the locals lived. Nothing stood out, and then we ventured off this narrow path in a wooded area that really didn’t look safe. I wouldn’t recommend this tour because it was way too long of a ride without any knowledge of where or what. The second part of the tour was good. Who doesn’t like Tequila! The food Mexican bbq was ok and the margarita was trash!!!! Omg the margaritas had absolute no alcohol in it!
