Excellent horseback, tequila, and lunch experience. - All employees were awesome. From the drivers, to the horse handlers, to the lunch staff, and the tequila tasting. This was a great experience for our family. We had a great time. I would recommend this experience to everyone. Thanks for the great memories.

Beautiful Experience - Worth every penny!
We were greeted by Edson at the pickup spot. The spot is in front of a hotel and a bus comes by to pick up guests. Edson was very informative and charismatic. He gave us local locations to visit and made the entire experience comfortable for nervous guests.
Fabricio was our guide and he was generous with his knowledge! He gave us fun facts along the trail. He made the entire experience enjoyable and we could tell that he likes his job.
The horse owner, Don Rafa, clearly takes care of his horses well. We aren’t experienced riders but they provided a lesson and showed us what to do. The horses know the trail well so it was an easy, beautiful ride.
La Dolce Vista villa is beautiful and a nice way to end the horse ride. We were greeted by Ysidrio, who explained 8 types of tequilas and showed us how to properly drink it. He also poured as much as we wanted, which varied by guest, but it was nice for people who don’t drink alcohol often.
After the tasting, food and drinks were provided and were delicious. We ate and enjoyed the scenery.
Overall, I highly recommend this experience!

Authentic Horseback Experience - Fabricio was a fantastic guide, very funny as well and was very welcoming. The horseback riding was great and the river crossings were very refreshing on a hot day. It was definitely a unique experience. The horses are well taken care of and are very friendly! Highly recommend this experience as it gets you out of the city into the smaller towns. The tequila tasting is an eye opening experience if you've never had genuine tequila, store bought will never be the same.

Great day with a fun group - We really enjoyed our experience. Our guide was a lot of fun! The bus ride is a little hot as there is no a/c but we had music playing and had a good time overall.
The horse ranch is a lovely property and the horses all seem well cared for and happy. They matched us with horses based on our abilities. We rode through the nearby town and then along the river, crossing the river twice in each direction. We did get to swim with one of the horses, though we all used only one horse for swimming. We each took turns riding bareback on this horse in a circle in the river. It was a ton of fun and very refreshing, but very short and I would have hoped for a longer swim personally. But overall the horses were great! After the ride, we got back on the bus where we drove to a remote but gorgeous little resort called Dulce Vista and had a tequila tasting and lunch. Izzy was a great host for the tequila tasting. Then we got to make fresh salsa for lunch, and the plate served to us was so delicious. It had rice, beans, and chicken, shrimp and steak. Wow was it good! And there were unlimited margaritas. I did go for a swim in the pool after lunch, which felt great after the hot and dusty ride. Then we rode back on the bus to town, which again was a little warm but doable. The guide was nice enough to drop us off on the way back to the meeting point, closer to our hotel. Overall we loved our day with this tour and I would highly recommend this excursion to anyone who visits Puerto Vallarta. Thank you for everything!!

Best Excursion on PV! Fabricio was an incredible guide!! - We went on many excursions and this was without a doubt the best! Our guide was Fabricio and he went above and beyond.
We started at a fabulous ranch where we were assigned horses. We rode through the nearby town, went to the mountains, and even got to swim with one of the horses.
After the ride, we went to an awesome resort called Dulce Vista and had a tequila tasting. We tried many tequilas including the Pink Tequila which we bought a bottle of. Fabricio helped us make fresh salsa and served us lunch and margaritas.
We were amazed with the level of service. I would recommend this excursion to anyone who visits Puerto Vallarta.
I could not be more happy with this experience!

Nice Activity - Short horse ride, swimming with the horse was a real treat (and I’ve ridden horses for decades), great lunch. No bugs, very little dust, and good horses. Very good for beginning riders. Very helpful guides.

Frustrating ride reservation experience. - Viator or the horseback ride contractor should take steps to make sure the meeting site has some signage that tells guests and taxi drivers that this is when the pickup point is. I had a very frustrating experience is that 3 different taxi drivers could not find the meeting place. The place that the first driver dropped me off was actually the right place but when I asked the young lady manning the front gate, she didn't know what I was talking about. Because I didn't know I was in the right place I left and got a taxi to go back to my hotel and missed my reservation. After MANY emails to Viator and the horseback contractor Viator got me another date without having to pay again, however, when I got to the meeting place and the guide was picking us he looked at my printed reservation and told me that it was no good!!! After several minutes of discussion with the guide and he calling his boss he let me onto the bus. Apparently my new reservation had not been recorded. The whole experience was very frustrating! Now I have sent 2 emails to the contractor asking about photos that the guide took of everyone on the ride to see if the photos were available. NO RESPONSE. For some reason the contractor does not have someone processing emails and enquiries or recording rescheduling.
Would I recommend this ride to someone? Probably not.
