Great Food and Tequila - If you don’t mind a bumpy bus ride, this is well worth the trip. Our guide was very friendly, loved to joke around, and was a fantastic cook. All of the food we had was great. The tequila was even better.

Exceeded all expectations! - This excursion exceeded all expectations!!! Cesar, our guide, was wonderful! He showed up early to pick us up, he was pleasant, knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. He took us to La Dulce Vista, a beautiful, secluded and very relaxing resort. We had a blast doing the Mexican Cooking Class. We enjoyed all the meals that we made. The people are friendly, attentive and the resort owner even said hi to us! The pool was refreshing and the ambiance of the resort was very relaxing. We highly recommend this excursion!

Awesome! - Martin was the best tour guide! We had a smaller group which made the experience even better as we got to interact more and get to know each other. Martin was funny and helpful with how to properly make our dishes. I would do more tours with him if I had the choice!!

Visions of Romancing the Stone - It is difficult to know where to start. It was a tour arranged by Holland America, cruise line. The tour began at the pier. I very young and very pretty girl was our tour guide for the entire experience. Perhaps 5hours. She led us, 3 couples, 6 people to a very adequate, 12 passenger van. We drove through the streets of Puerto V My wife and I discovered La Dulce Vista on a Ship's tour, touted to be an all-inclusive tour. IT WAS!!! Starting from the ship 3 couples, 6 people on the tour, with the driver of the 12 passenger, air-conditioned (it's important, sometimes), bus, with a beautiful young tour guide. The road trip took us out of the city passing by the airport on the way, and some very impoverished-looking areas. Having left the city the roads became very rough, like riding on a very rough cobblestone road, then with speed bumps to make sure the thrill was there. I digress, the trip up the mountain was educational, if not beautiful. As we traveled, thoughts of people being hijacked and visions of being held for ransom traveled through our minds. Picture a sense in Romancing the Stone with the mud roads, switchbacks on a tall hill, and the like, looking into a lush green valley meadow with lime trees the size of larger fruit. Finally, we arrived and were greeted by the Tiqula Master, (I don't remember the proper name). We were educated on the proper way to sip Tequila the resort produces their own, and my wife and I enjoyed the Tequila samples and the presentation, as the Tiqula was available as long as the presentation. Then it gets better. Our small group was gathered together, each couple was provided a Mortar and Pestle and thought to make proper salsa. It was then time to have what I will call the best lunch I had on our 15-day cruise, using our own made salsa. After lunch we had time to enjoy the beautiful grounds and unheated (not to worry, it was wonderfully warm by the beautiful sun. What a wonderful adventure and time we had! If you have a chance go visit or stay for almost as long as you like!

Jungle cooking class - We were so far out in the jungle, nice to get away from the city. Fun cooking over wood fire. Setting was beautiful. The only thing g was, bus did NOT have air conditioning, and once we dropped off horse riding people, we transferred into a funky zebra car. If you have mobility issues, this might not be the tour for you. The dri er and tour guide helped me get out of the back seat that had no door. You had to climb out of the car. We were celebrating our birthdays and the guide surprised us with birthday cakes, very thoughtful
