Best scuba dive I’ve been on! - We went with Jonathan and Eric on a solo scuba diving adventure. It was awesome we loved the trip we were well taken care of. We received great instruction on diving and we saw a lot of marine life.

The most amazing Discover Scuba experience at Los Arcos! - We have done many Discover Scuba Dives all over the Caribbean but this would be our first in the Mexican Riviera. There was good communication between the dive shop and decided to book with them. We did have an issue with us coming by cruise ship and our time was different than ours and they threatened to leave us, but they ended up waiting...thank goodness! The boat dock to go out was close by and off we went. Along the way we did see a few whales and they stopped for us to get some pictures. We arrived at our dive spot at Los Arcos, but we weren't very close to the arch like I had pictured. We had a brand new diver with us and he was very scared and didn't make it very far before having to go back. I think it was a combination of the freezing cold water and it being extremely green. We went on with our swim and it was "ok" but not exactly what I had expected. The most amazing thing was there were TONS of puffer fish. They were just everywhere. Once our dive was over, we were told we were going to the next dive spot. I had no idea this was happening...but it was over by the arch!! I was excited. This is where we wanted to go to begin with. This was THE MOST AMAZING EXPERIENCE ever! The amount of fish that we were able to see (and they are much different than what you'll find in the Caribbean) made us completely forget about just how cold the water was (they provided wet suits although mine was torn and leaked water). We seen a large group of stingrays, multiple eels, Angelfish, Mexican Hogfish, Butterfly fish, Giant Damsels, Wrasse, Razor Surgeonfish in large groups, orange cup coral, King Angelfish, Barberfish, Cortez Angelfish, Groupers, Spotted Boxfish, Pipefish, White Spotted Puffers, Porcupine Puffers, Spotfin Puffers, Moorish Idols, Blue Triggerfish, Panama Porkfish, spotted Eagle Ray, starfish and the list goes on. The most amazing dive...seriously. (The water gets warmer in area by the arch). If you come to Puerto Vallarta, you have to go diving here! Our dive instructor was amazing and we even lost our GoPro on the way back and he was able to retrieve it for us. We would definitely use them again in the future. The only suggestion I would have is to take the Discover Scuba directly to the arch and skip the other (first) half. I would have much rather went diving twice directly at the Arch than the other place.

Carlos saves the day! - Carlos is wonderful! We had a nervous diver and he held her hand on both dives! She normally cannot complete a dive but he made her so comfortable in the water! Thank you Carlos!

Great Dive and Snorkeling Experiences at Islas Marietas! - We booked the “Private Scuba Diving Puerto Vallarta Undersea” at Islas Marietas for 4 people on Feb 1, 2024. We were pleased to see that Berenice would be our snorkeling guide again and would also be helping us get to the Hidden Beach on the large island. Her enthusiasm for the beauty of the islands and the wildlife combined with her extensive knowledge made it both an enjoyable and educational experience. Nahum was our SCUBA dive master, and he planned some fun and beautiful dives for us, challenging our comfort zones just enough to insure novel experiences. Just as we were finishing our second dive and about to surface, we saw a giant manta ray who was curious about us and circled us a few times within 10 ft before moving on. Fortunately, Nahum had ensured that we surfaced with plenty of air in our tanks so we were able to enjoy the experience without risk of injury. That was definitely the highlight of our dives! Raul, our captain, skillfully navigated the rocky shores and inlets so we could see the natural beauty of the islands and the local bird and marine life. When we had an issue with one of our fins, Raul found another tour group who could share with us and navigated to get close enough to pass the fins. He was a master at guiding into small spaces so that we could view areas around the islands many others don’t get to see.

Great Dive and Snorkeling Experiences at Los Arcos! - We booked the “Private Scuba Diving Puerto Vallarta Undersea” at Los Arcos by Eco Explorer for 4 people on Jan 30, 2024. We showed up a little early but they were ready and immediately helped us get our forms and gear in order, so we were out on the water in good time. Carlos, the owner, introduced himself to us and ensured that we had the proper gear for our dives while also telling us about what to expect at Los Arcos. We realized we had forgotten to give them notice that only two of our party would be diving while the other two hoped to snorkel instead. Fortunately, they quickly adjusted their plan. Berenice was added as our snorkel tour guide (lucky us!), while Carlos took charge of the scuba divers. Carlos was a fantastic guide, ensuring that our dives were, safe, fun, and informative. Berenice helped the snorkelers to get comfortable in their (federally required) life vests and snorkel gear. Any time we shared a concern or difficulty, she had suggestions and recommendations for fixes, and they worked every time. Berenice shared her love of nature with us, guiding us toward schools of fish, pointing out varieties of birds, and providing information about the beautiful areas we explored. On this first trip, our two snorkelers were struck with seasickness. Bere gave us helpful tips and caringly assisted us on the ride back. She even had suggestions for reducing sea sickness. Carlos, who was a veterinarian in a previous career, loved sharing his knowledge of the animals we saw during the ride and the dives. Sandwiches and drinks (non-alcoholic) were offered during our return to the marina, and by that time we had sure worked up our appetites. For the entire ride, Martin was an excellent captain who guided the boat quickly and safely to our various destinations, and was constantly on the look-out for wildlife, like when he spotted a large pod of dolphins and got us close enough to get their interest so they played by the boat but without putting them at risk. Part of his job was to monitor all of us in the water and be ready to pick us up at the end of our adventures or be there if we had an emergency. He definitely took his job seriously and knew where we were at all times.

Naom is the best!! - New to scuba diving. Decided to go solo. The Staff were amazing, thoughtful, patient and experienced.

Best Day Ever!!! - We were overjoyed with our experience. Our crew, Carlos, Erik and Emirio were fantastic. We had 5 divers and 2 snorkelers in our group and we were so well taken care of. They actively sought out the natural wildlife and explained their significance to the ecosystem. We had a great lunch. We would recommend them to anyone who would like to participate in this activity.

Best Scuba experience due to amazing dive master - This was an excellent experience due to the amazing dive master(totally forgot his name) and captain Javier. They treated us like royalty from the moment we arrived and they greeted us by name. We took the private scuba trip, so it was just the 4 of us. I absolutely loved everything about this tour.

Wonderful Dive - Carlos (dive master) and Alex (boat driver) at Eco Explorer Vallarta Undersea were fantastic! It was the most professional and well taken care of diving experience we’ve had. Carlos was the perfect amount of helpful and knowledgeable, we felt so good in his hands and had a beautiful dive and experience on the boat. This is the first place in Mexico we will return to dive and request Carlos!

Great day swimming with the fishes - Just visited Vallarta Undersea for two great dives while visiting Puerto Vallarta on a cruise. Reservations and communications with the office were easy and prompt. On the day of the dive, we found the office easily thanks to the directions provided in the confirmation e mail. Once we arrived. We were introduced to our Dive Master, Juan. Juan provided all of the equipment we required and escorted us to the boat. Victor took the three of us out to our first dive site and we set of on our first dive. The dives were enjoyable and Juan was a great DM. Safety and enjoyment were equally stressed by Juan. It was an awesome day and I will definitely visit Vallarta Undersea when I'm back.
