A visit to “Old Puerto Vallarta “ - It was a fun day. It was nice seeing the old Puerto Vallarta with cobble stone roads, the symbolic cathedral church. A walk along the seafront looking into the ocean was spectacular. The tequila factory: seeing how they make tequila was very interesting. The restaurant up the hill and the food, “very good “. A shout out to the tour crew, especially Gustavo for explaining what we were seeing along the way.

Great Tour and also great transfer service with Nexus - This city tour was a great time and Paco our guide and Luis our driver were excellent. Everyone on the tour had a great time. Also, the service from Yesenia and Linda, the Nexus/Westjet reps at our resort were so helpful when booking tours and arranging our airport transportation.

Value Vallarta's Coastal Hotspots + Fab Guide! - Stayed in Bucerias, picked up 1st so good tour of resorts was a bonus! Guide David was superb, efficient and full of interesting knowledge. Walked old Town: shops, parish, historic monuments & along front coastal sidewalk. Ok for father with walker. Then drive south through jungle to a riverside restaurant & tequila factory. Restaurant service and selection of seafood was very good. Wanted to learn about tequila making but because time was short, we just went to sample stage, yum!! Overall, we three Canadians were more than happy at the selection of activities offered and the care given by guide and driver. A long day but great way to see the city from North to far south.

Not worth the money - Waste of time. We were picked up and were supposed to transfer to another bus, but waited for 30 mins plus and no bus came. later, we were told that we will be going in the same van that we were picked up in. Spent a lot of time looking at some school the tourist guide went to rather than actual tourist spots. Got 15 mins at the Guadalupe Church, which was nice, but you can save your money, take an Uber and see all the spots yourself for a fraction of the cost and spend more time at the beach. We didn't get any time at the beach. We spent a lot of time at some silver shop, which again was outrageously expensive, but the tourist guide keeps telling you that this is the only shop that has authentic silver. This is not true as most shops give the same kind of guarantee card and has the 950 seal. We spent most of the time driving up to some remote Mexican restaurant-home which was super expensive for the type of food we got. Also, barely any vegetarian choices. Food was bland with no salt or spice.

Tour guide was very entertaining. Bus driver got is through very tight spots, especially going on windy road to tequila. - While this tour could be different than the one we took it sounds the exact same. Yes the tour other than the church seems like a selling to tourist opportunity. Issue I have is with the tequila tasting. Used credit card and operator said didn't go through and showed terminal paid with another card. Only 1 slip came out for 2nd card. Now at home eith charges to both cards. Of course putting through a dispute process but lets see where that goes.

Free downtown tour would have been better - Our whole group was very disappointed with the tour. To start issues with booking because we aren't staying at a hotel, they were horrible in responding and things didn't get cleared of a pickup point until 10pm the night before the excursion. There was a lot of driving to hotels, we stopped and had to get off the nice bis and onto a small 20 passenger van, for those sitting at the back they couldn't see anything and it was extremely cramped. Our tour guide didn't give us much history at all, most involved when hotels were built. At the church we were told of the crown and nothing else, told 15 minutes and ignored, I go on these trips to learn history I wouldn't get if I just visited the sites on my own. The Silver and leather stops were shops, no explanation of process, just encouragement to buy. I did enjoy the tequila tasting - 7 tequilas to try but again the history and process explanations were limited. They started with the high sugar ones, my preference would have been to start with the basic, to ensure the sugar coating doesn't affect taste buds. Lunch wad highly priced, but amazing. This was the one portion of the tour the whole group enjoyed. It was an entire day, draining sitting in a cramped van.

Don’t waste your money - Sitting on a bus for 8 hours and only seeing an expensive silver shop a church for 10 minutes and then a seafood restaurant that we had to eat at as nothing else was close. There was no other markets for shopping or other stops!!! do not waste your money
