At the leather shop, we were treated to cold mini beers and watched as a skilled artisan crafted sandals from exotic leathers like ostrich and stingray. Our journey continued south, where Daniel regaled us with stories about the history of tequila, or as he humorously called it, “Vitamin T.” Our next stop was a tequila distillery, where we learned about the traditional and modern methods of tequila production. The tasting session was a delight, with a variety of flavored tequilas to sample. The chocolate and vanilla tequila was a surprising hit, but my personal favorite was the extra old sipping tequila. It was a unique experience that added a flavorful twist to our cultural exploration.

A Day of Fun and Adventure

The tour took an exciting turn as we headed to Los Veranos for lunch. The setting was idyllic, with a petting zoo featuring marmosets, monkeys, and even a toucan. The kids were thrilled to interact with the animals, and we all enjoyed the complimentary nacho chips and spicy salsa. Our meal of guacamole and chicken fajitas was delicious and plentiful, providing the perfect fuel for the adventures that lay ahead.

After lunch, we had the chance to explore the nearby river, with its deep plunge pools and exhilarating water slides. For the thrill-seekers in the family, the zipline experience at Los Veranos was a must. With the longest network of ziplines in the area, it was an adrenaline-pumping ride through the lush jungle, offering breathtaking views and a sense of freedom.

As we made our way back to Puerto Vallarta, we stopped for a photo opportunity at Los Arcos, a stunning natural rock formation. It was the perfect way to end a day filled with discovery, culture, and adventure.
