Short visit to Frutillar - My husband and I took this tour with Andrea. Andrea was lovely but this tour was not what we expected. In bike tours we’ve done before, including in Santiago, the guide would bike with us and show us things along the way. This tour is different. We first drove to Frutillar on a scenic backroad, and about 10km outside of town, we took the bikes out of the truck and rode them while Andrea drove ahead. This was a nice ride through the countryside. When we entered the town, we rode our bikes for maybe another 2km. We then had about 45 minutes to walk around on our own. We had just enough time to try a local pastry called kuchen, but had no time to visit the German colonization museum. For some, this tour might be perfect. But it’s not what we expected. We really like Andrea and we think that with some tweaks, this tour could be easily improved, including a more accurate description, and more historical and cultural information.
