Loved it - Such a great experience! The waterfall was amazing (I only wish we had a little longer!) and seeing and tasting the process of making chocolate was so special.

Genuine experience with the indigenous people. Highly recommend! - What an wonderful day! Tirza was an amazing guide for our day, beginning with visiting the indigenous Bribri area and a beautiful visit and cleansing ritual with the Shaman. Next on to a sweet family as we learned and all took turns in turning the cacao into delicious chocolate! enjoyed some on warm bananas, toasted with a warm drink, had a facial, then hiked through their land to learn all about the medicinal plants, were served a delicious lunch, and learned how they made coverings with the large leaves. From there, onto the waterfall which was so beautiful and refreshing! Served fresh coconut water after our hike back up. It was a fantastic day!

A wonderful and surprisingly moving day - Can't say enough good things about this tour. I was in Central America for a month and this was a definite highlight. Rodolfo (Fofo) was a great guide. Spending time with a shaman and then with a Bri Bri family, including having lunch with them, was a humbling and amazing experience.

Loving the day - Our excursion was wonderful. Our tour guide Tersa was the best! The time spent with the Shaman was very powerful and you could feel the spiritual connection. Next was the visit to a local home, where they showed us how they made 100% pure chocolate from the Cocoa bean. Also served us lunch, which was delicious. Their hospitality was warm and inviting, something I’ll never forget. After that we hiked to the waterfall, unfortunately, we had a rainy day so the terrain wasn’t great, wouldn’t recommend it for older or more fragile people. I’m sure when the day is dry and the sun is out, it’s a better experience. However, at any point you can always stop and wait for your group to come back. It was a great day, not too intense, and we had fun.

A Most Moving Experience - I am so glad we went on this tour with Tirza. She is so kind, thoughtful and knowledgeable about the culture. She is indigenous to the culture and the place and for us that made all the difference in the world. Her respect and love for the people and the land added so much to the experience. What we learned about how you can truly live in harmony with nature in practical and spiritual ways touched our minds and hearts. I cannot wait to come back for more tours. Our tour did not include the Shaman but now wish we had signed up for that as well. Thank you Tirza from Alison and Tod!!

Amazing! Experience what life should be like! - Absolutely inspiring and amazing! Tirza is a wonderful guide. This tour allows a glimpse into the indigenous world of the BriBri tribe. It is a really beautiful experience. You feel welcomed into the home and get to experience the traditional ways of making Cacao first hand. Meeting the medicine man was another powerful experience. You get to learn about the medicines used and about the BriBri cosmovision. I highly recommend. The very best way to support and buy local 10 out of 5 stars!
