The island is home to a Franciscan monastery, where monks have safeguarded numerous artifacts collected over the centuries, preserving them to this day. Visitors can explore several remarkable collections on the island, including ethnographic, natural history, archaeological, and sacred objects collections, all of which are highly recommended. Additionally, the island’s natural beauty and diverse plant life are not to be missed!
The museum welcomes visitors daily from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM, and on Sundays from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
The ideal duration for visiting the museums and exploring the island is between 1 to 1.5 hours.
From Monday to Saturday, boats depart from Punat harbor between 9:15 AM and 4:00 PM, and on Sundays from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM.
Tickets are round-trip, with each boat journey taking approximately 8 minutes one way.
Please note that the entrance fee to the island is separate and costs €6 per adult and €4 per child.
If you wish to adjust the duration of your stay on the island, whether shorter or longer, simply inform the captain!

When you arrive at Košljun, in the small port, you will be greeted by it is protected as a forest park, primarily due to the forest of century-old holm oaks (Quercus ilex) There are as many as 389 plant species and 151 mushroom species on only 6 hectares. On the island, in addition to the Church of the Annunciation of Mary and the small church of St. Bernardin, there are also 3 chapels, as well as the Way of the Cross, and the Nativity chapel with the nativity scene, which was first mentioned in 1651, is especially famous.
