Great tour of Lake Titicaca sites - I had an excellent tour of Uros and Taquile Island. The guides were great and the boat ride was very comfortable. I learned a lot about both locations.

On time, professional and considerate. - Everything with this day tour was managed in a professional and considerate way. Samuel explained the area and culture very well and was prepared to do the extra mile to make it a memorable experience.

Excellent tour, with great service and simple food, but very tasty - They picked us up on time at the hotel, we were taken to the harbor and introduced to the guide who would accompany us throughout the tour. We took the fastboat and soon arrived at the island of Winay Totora, where we were welcomed by very nice women. Sílvia was the one who did a practical demonstration of the customs of the Uros, how they depend on the totora (junco) for everything: building houses, boats and the islands themselves. It also serves as food. After the explanations it is time to visit one of the casebres and look at the beautiful and colorful local crafts, as they depend on tourism. They also do a singing demonstration of traditional songs. We took one of the traditional boats (optional, whoever does go on the boat, but it is worth it!) to the island of Santa Maria, where there is a coffee shop. There we take the boat to Taquile, which is not floating and is more distant, with beautiful landscapes. After a walk to the market, a demonstration of the local culture: the men show that it is they who knit, that the colors of hats define the civil status of people. Show how they use a local plant to lighten the sheep's wool. We take a walk to the restaurant, passing through beautiful landscapes, which alternate terraces of plantations between the rocks and the vast blue sea. The lunch consists of a very tasty entry soup, trout with rice, grilled vegetables and fries. And a chazinho at the end. And the boat was waiting for us in a nearby bay to take us back to Puno. The bus was waiting for us to leave us at the hotel. Worth the walk. I forgot the name of the guide, but it was great and is in the photo next to Silvia.

Great Tour Great Guide - One of our best experiences while in Peru. We were met timely at our hotel and guided to a bus. Once at the port we were met by Samuel, our Inka Lake guide. He was super attentive and helpful, explaining the unique cultures of Uros and Taquile. We had a great lunch on Taquile, during which (among many other unique cultural traditions) Samuel shared the interesting meaning behind the various hats worn by the island residents. Be aware that the climb to the top of the island, where lunch was provided was strenuous given the altitude. We’re in our 70s and we survived. Younger people seemed to handle it better. Bring water.

Well-organized tour with good guide - The tour was quite well organized and the guide Samuel was very attentive and the explanations quite clear. The lunch was also nice. It is worth making the trip on a fast boat because still to get to the island of Taquile we took an hour and a half.

Lovely day trip to floating Reed islands and the island of Taquile by comfortable speed boat - We were picked up from our Hotel by minibus and driven to the port where our boat and other boats were waiting to take tourists out on to Lake Titicaca. Our guide Samuel was very knowledgeable and able to answer all our groups questions ( four English speakers). We stopped first at a reed island and watched a demonstration of how the floating reed islands are built by the islanders. Then we had some history and then we were invited in to an islanders home and had the chance to buy some textiles he and his family had made. Next off to another reed island with more people and a small market and then off to the real/natural island of Taquile. On arrival there is a challenging 1km walk up hill to the main square and lunch after a display of dancing by the locals. More opportunities to buy local craft and then return boat trip back to Puno. Bring some local currency as there are many opportunities to spend it on all the locals craftworks

Very interesting trip - Very interesting trip on titicaca lake and a great opportunity to get a glimpse into everyday life of the people that are living on its islands. The included lunch was great. I would have wished for a little more free time though.

Our only disappointment was riding the uros boat. The "captain" ordered us to pay 20sol each rather than 15 as we spoke English. - We had an amazing time. Our guide Samuel was top notch. He helped answer questions the entire time. Entertainment and food was wonderful

Titikaka and not Titicaca Lake. - Great, informative excursion, the guide Samuel took good care of everything, in Spanish and English. Getting to know the cultures and crafts was very interesting.

Tequile and any other island - The boat "speed" is not much. The Uros experience feels a bit disrespectful, but the Taquile island is great, perhaps spending more time and doing something more than juat eating coukd be good. Maybe visiting another island as well can be good.
