Easy transport to the past and future of Punta Arenas - Well planned and fun sightseeing/conversation with Gerardo who shared a lot of historical and current info with us about Punta Arenas and Chile. Also had an empanada lunch in the most southern restaurant on the South American continent thanks to Gerardo. Cesar was a great driver and gentleman throughout. We learned a lot and wholeheartedly recommend this tour.

Absolute Best Tour in Punta Arenas and Patagonia! - Yesterday was our best tour of this cruise and maybe our last cruises too. We saw everything listed and more. Geraldo is an amazing tour guide who never stopped sharing information, knowledge, stories, etc. We loved visiting the Punta Arenas area, but primarily the tour was great because of his passion for sharing his wonderful city. His driver (I am sorry I do not know his name) contributed to a wonderful day with his relaxed, careful driving and attentiveness to each of us as well. We not only spent the day, almost all day, viewing the Strait of Magellan but learning the history of it as well. We learned about Magellan, Charles Darwin, Shakleton and others who were part of the history of the area. We learned about Chile, Antarctica, and even enjoyed a lunch at a very local restaurant that served homemade empanadas on the strait of Magellan (very simple.) We went to the Nao Victoria Museum an outside museum where there are hand built replicas to scale of several boats used in the Patagonia and Antarctica explorations. We could climb in them, on them, explore them and learn all about them. The entire day was unique and wonderful. When you finish the day, you will know as I did that there was no one else on the cruise ship who has seen, done or learned what you had a chance to do with Amigos Patagonia. I was surprised that more people have not found this gem of tours in Punta Arenas. But I am so glad we did! I would highly recommend Amigos Patagonia and any tour they offer. Reach out and they will can work with you on what you need if you are in the area!

Perfect day in Punta Arenas. - This was an excellent tour. I would recommend this tour. From our pickup from the port to our return to the ship, it was a day full of fun and great photos. Our guide was Valentina. Her English was fantastic. Knowledge and enthusiasm for the places we visited made the tour very enjoyable. Our driver Cesar had a wealth knowledge about the wildlife and was an excellent spotter of them. This included dolphins and flamingos. This tour covered it all from national park, museums, cemetery, city, great photo opportunities, local food and wine. Valentina and Cesar provided us a wonderful day full of fun and memories of our visit Punta Arenas.

Fun packed tour with lots of info. - What made this tour great is our guide Juan and the driver Christopher. Juan was full of historic information and he was extremely enthusiastic in providing every little tidbits of facts about the area and the places we visited. Christopher was great driving us around efficiently as we visited the historic Fort, the ship museum, the cemetery and the city highlights. We did stopped for a quick empanadas lunch with a nice red wine. We enjoyed this tour very much. We really learned so much about Punta Arenas and the history of the surrounding areas including Patagonia.

Terrific Tour - Gerardo, our guide, did an excellent job sharing the history of the area along with interesting anecdotes as we visited many sites in the area. The bus was very comfortable which made a big difference since the tour was lengthy and we weren’t squeezed in like we were on our excursions.

History, fun and food with Amigos Patagonia - Gerardo’s passion for his city made us all see the area through his eyes. He made sure we fully experienced all of the beautiful and historical aspects of Fort Bulnes, Nao Victoria and the lovely cemetery- all were full of history and the character of the people who first entered this remote part of Chile. Gerardo is able to relate the information in perfect English and the vehicle was comfortable for all 12 guests. The delicious empanada, wine and chocolate shop stops were an added bonus. Amigos Patagonia is well-named as it was a memorable day with a new friend!

Well cared for and great history. - I love history, so I truly enjoyed the restored fort and failed settlement at Magellan Park. Better still were the reconstructed ships. I really appreciated the care and assistance I received from my guide and driver, due my neuropathy. It was a great day with lots of great pictures and memories. My only complaint was dealing with the Viator website. I would have preferred a more human connection. I found difficult to navigate and the downloading of an unessary ticket, etc.

Expensive tour - This was over priced tour. Wasn’t a very interesting town though so I think they can’t give much in general. I would skip this one.
